Architecture Design Competition 2020 is being hosted by RAREMINDS in

collaboration with NHRWA Trust for the engagement & identification of

upcoming talent in India. Our competition celebrates the talent of

architecture and design students studying in various colleges spread

across the country.

Luxury Residential : “Self Sustaining Project”There are two types of modes of design and one theme for thecompetition.

Students can select only, one mode of design in relevance to theabove Theme/Category and prepare on the below accordingly.

Evaluation Parameters

Design Creativity — does the design stand out, provide something new to the market or supplement/improve an existing plan.

Emotional quotient — in addition to fulfilling its practical purpose, will the design create a sense of enjoyment and satisfaction?

Form - project’s form is clear stance on its relationship to its surroundings, its users and the public at large

Function - purpose for which the project is intended, including for its client, users, and the public at large.

Durability - the quality and longevity of the design

Ecological compatibility - potential environmental and/or ecological impact

Reality of production — how realistic is it, technically and economically, to bring this design to production and broad-scale use

Impact — the benefit delivered to the user and/or society by the design


The Jury

Dr. N K Tiwary is an M. Tech and Ph.D.(Chem) from IIT Delhi. He hasworked for around 20 years in process and quality control in cementindustry, thereafter for 17 years in research and development andteaching cement technology and environmental engineering andmanagement at National Council for Cement and Buildings Materialsin India.

Sanjay Labh, Sr. Executive VP, Prestige Group, Seasoned andversatile professional with incredible experience acquired over 30+years across areas encompassing Real Estate - ConstructionManagement, Portfolio Management, Strategic Planning &Workflow, Project Design & Documentation, Quality Assurance,Vendor Management, Resource Management, Team Management.MBA from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Pune &Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Bangalore University and havereceived numerous awards for his projects with DLF Limited.

An independent Team from pan India who are experts in their fields will over

various weeks conduct sessions, mentor the participants and Judge who wins

the Architecture Design Competition 2020. The jury comprises with experts in

the fields of architecture, interior design, design and brand communications.


The Jury

Pavamana VP, Group Head Projects, Ferns Estate, is a graduate civil engineer andhails from Bengaluru. He has hands on experience over 2 decades in the Constructionindustry. He has a thorough knowledge on all aspects of the project's activitiesstarting from conceptualization to feasibility studies to design, execution, andsuccessfully handing over. He has extensive experience in handling highly specifiedbuilding projects in the hospitality, residential and commercial segments besidesother civil engineering & infrastructure development. Hospitality projects in which hewas actively involved includes JW Marriott at Bangalore, Courtyard Marriott atBangalore and Double Tree Hilton at Goa. VP, in his previous assignments wasassociated with firms of international repute like Colliers International and SembCorpat senior positions besides other reputed domestic firms.

Owner & Founder of GB Architect, Ar.Gautam Bhurke, out of childhood passion fordesign in year 2000. He has done his Architecture from Rachana Sansad’s Academyof Architecture, Mumbai from 1993-1998.He Truly believes in the quote "God Lies inthe Details". Under his continuous guidance, the firm has delivered multiple highend Residential & Commercial Interior projects to the client satisfaction. Despite somany projects in his kitty, he is in continuous pursuits of knowledge, innovation &technology to embrace the latest trends & keep delivering world class Architecture& Interior projects.
