Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Urbanism. The Jury of the 2017 edition of the Archiprix Portugal Award selected the winner among 30 nominees from the most relevant Portuguese Architecture, Urbanism and Landscape Architecture Schools. Jury members were Catarina Raposo, Célia Gomes, Daniel Jiménez, João Santa-Rita, Luís Santiago Baptista, Maria Souto Moura and Nuno Grande. The ceremony was attended by the presidents of the partner institutions, the representants of Portuguese universities, embassies, municipalities and national and international entities of the cultural sector. On May 27, during the awards ceremony at the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, the winner of the Archiprix Portugal 2017 Award was announced.

THE ARCHIPRIX PORTUGUESE AWARD

The Archiprix Portugal Prize was instituted in 2012, by the Serra Henriques Foundation (Lisbon) and the Archiprix

Foundation (Rotterdam), involving the Portuguese Association of Architects and the Portuguese architecture schools.

Archiprix is internationally referenced as one of the most prestigious academic architecture awards, annually

Urbanism.

The Archiprix Prize is characterized by the diversity of its projects. Contrasting the generality of architectural contests,

diversity. For this reason, the projects’ themes, their presentation and their level of detail vary considerably from one

another. The diversity and the high quality of the Archiprix projects represent, as a whole, an important contribution to

the emerging national architecture’s projection.
