DELIVERY TO THORPE

With three hoppers, we can insert a maximum of x2 A4 and x1 A5 at one time. Any over's will be destroyed two weeks after the insertion date unless instructions are issued to the contrary.

All deliveries must be accompanied by a Delivery Note with quantity delivered, number of pallets and quantity on pallets, etc. If delivery is in boxes, it should state how many are in a box and how many boxes. The delivery note should also state what publication the leaflet is being inserted into and the due date for insertion. We will not accept deliveries without a delivery note.

PACKAGING REQUIREMENTS

Inserts should be delivered on standard “open” pallets (1200mm x 1000mm) as shown opposite, for handling by forklift truck. Our pallet lifters and pallet trucks cannot safely transport or lift closed pallets or Euro pallets.

For quick, easy identification each pallet should carry a pallet card giving the job title and date of insert.

If possible inserts must be loose on pallets. Inserts to be brick stacked in lifts 6 inches to 12 inches (15cms - 30cms) having folded edges facing the same direction. Work should be presented with the minimum of turns of no less than 50 inserts in each. If turns have to be strapped then use only one plastic strap. If, due to shape or size the inserts are unable to be packed loose on pallets,

they should be packed neatly into boxes. Each row, wherever possible, should be packed the same way but if this is not possible then a card separator should be placed between each layer.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Distribution of an item cannot mean any guarantee of consumer response and Archant London offers no claims with regards to response.

In the event of a delay or error in the quantity of items supplied, distribution will be carried out at the earliest opportunity. Archant London will advise the client as early as possible of any issues which may affect distribution on your chosen week.

You must give at least seven days notice (before your distribution date), for any cancellation or alteration to your distribution arrangements. Failure to meet this deadline may result in Archant London having to pass reasonable costs related to the planned distribution on to you.

All orders are accepted subject to approval of the content of the item. It is advisable, that should your product be anything other than what is classed as a standard product, then it should be supplied in advance so that a decision can be made as to whether it can be inserted. If an item arrives, and is anything other than the description supplied by you at the time of your order, then Archant London will not be held responsible of the item is not suitable for insertion.

All pallets should have wooden top boards the same size as the base and measure no more than 1050mm in height.

Decks must be covered with a solid base before loading to prevent damage to the bottom layer of inserts.

Interleaves should be placed between each layer to aid stability and to prevent damage to the bottom layer of inserts.

Pallets should have full length corner protectors to prevent damage to the products when pallets are shrink-wrapped.

Pallets should wrapped with film to prevent penetration of moisture.

Inserts should be stacked flush to the pallets edges. Inserts protruding from the sides will becreased or curled by the shrink-wrap. Similarly inserts not stacked to the pallet edge will cause pallets to be unstable and loads to become distored during transportation.

Pallets should be banded in both directions with four straps to secure the whole load and protect against movement during transit and facilitate two high stacking.

Inserts or pallets arriving on site that are damaged or are in a state which requires additional handling will be photographed and authorisation will be sought before we attempt to remove from delivery vehicle. Additional costs may also be incurred for returning/ packing.
