MAY 3, MONDAY, DAY 1: DEPART THE USAWe depart on an overnight flight to Tel Aviv. Dinner and breakfast will be served on the plane MAY 4, TUESDAY, DAY 2: ARRIVAL IN TEL AVIV – TRANSFER TO HOTEL IN TEL AVIV Welcome to the land of our Bible! Upon arrival in Tel Aviv, we pass through Immigration and Customs, collect our luggage in baggage claim, and proceed to the Arrivals Hall. Here we will be met by our English-speaking Christian Tour Guide who will accompany our group for our en-tire trip in the Holy Land. We then proceed to our hotel in Natanya for dinner and overnight. (D)

MAY 5, WEDNESDAY, DAY 3: CAESAREA – MOUNT CARMEL – MEGIDDO – NAZARETH – ARBEL – SEA OF GALILEEThis morning after breakfast, which is included each morning, and hotel check out, we visit Caesarea by the sea to see the Crusader’s Castle and the Roman Amphitheater. Continuing along the coast to Mount Carmel see the sites of Elijah’s triumph over the prophets of Baal. We travel north to reach Meggido, on the Plain of Armageddon. In the afternoon, visit Naza-reth, the boyhood home of Jesus to see life depicted as it was at the time of Jesus’ birth. Visit Mt. Arbel before our dinner and overnight in Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee (B, D)

MAY 6, THURSDAY, DAY 4: SEA OF GALILEE – CAPERNAUM – MAGDALA CENTRE Start the day with a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee. During the boat ride, we pause for a brief worship service and remember the many miracles our Lord performed in this area. We’ll dock at Ginossar to visit the “Jesus Boat” museum which contains a boat that dates back to the time of Jesus. In Capernaum, see the remains of an early church, the remains of Peter’s house, and the ancient synagogue. Next, we visit the Mount of Beatitudes on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. After our lunch of St. Peter’s fish, we visit Magdala, long thought to be the birthplace of Mary Magdalene to see the excavations where an ancient synagogue and other artifacts were recently discovered. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias. (B, L, D)

May 7, Friday, Day 5: DAN – BANIAS – CESAREA PHILLIPI – GOLAN HEIGHTS Following breakfast, we start the day with a visit to Tel Dan, a nature reserve, and an impres-sive archaeological site with the unique remains of the Canaanites. We continue to the site of Banias, which is the source of the Jordan River. Near here, Peter made his great confes-sion that Jesus Christ was the Lord. We return to the hotel and have some time at leisure before dinner at our hotel. (B, D)

May 8, Saturday, Day 6: TIBERIAS – BEIT SHEAN – BET ARABAH – JERICHO – DEAD SEA This morning after breakfast, we leave the Galilee area and travel south through the Jordan River Valley. We stop to visit Beit She’an to see excavations of the city where the Philistines hung the bodies of Saul and Jonathan. We will stop at Bethabara, where John baptized those who came to him, the spot also known as the “place of crossing.” We then visit Jericho, one of the oldest cities in the world, where we see the excavations of the ancient walls view the Mount of Temptation, and see Elijah’s Spring. Our overnight is at the Dead Sea. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure and perhaps take a swim in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea. Dinner and overnight at the Dead Sea. (B, D)

MAY 9. SUNDAY, DAY 7: MASADA – EIN GEDI – QUMRAN – JERUSALEMToday we travel to the mountain fortress of Masada to hear about a truly remarkable piece of history. After our exciting tour of Masada, we drive north to Ein Gedi, a green oasis in the middle of the desert, to see the area where David hid while fleeing from King Saul. Travel to Qumran to see the caves where shepherds found the Dead Sea Scrolls. We then stop to view St. George Monastery, which is an active monastery since the 5th century. Our last stop is on Mount Sco-pus before arriving at our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

MAY 10, MONDAY, DAY 8: TEMPLE MOUNT – ST. ANNE’S – ISRAELI MUSEUM – BETHLEHEM – SHEPHERD’S FIELD This morning after breakfast, we ascend the Temple Area; from there, we pass Dome of the Rock Shrine and the Al Aqsa Mosque. Visit St. Anne’s Church and the Pool of Bethesda before we visit the Shrine of the Book museum where some of the Dead Sea Scrolls are kept and where we also see the Model City of Jerusalem to understand better how the city looked at the time of King David. This afternoon, we take a short drive to reach Bethlehem for a visit to the Church of the Nativity built over the cave of Christ’s birth, as well as Shepherd’s field where the Shepherds saw the Star of Bethlehem. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

MAY 11, TUESDAY, DAY 9: WAILING WALL – WESTERN WALL TUNNELS – MT. OLIVES – MT. ZION – JEWISH QUARTER – DAVIDSON CENTRE This morning we start the day visiting the Wailing Wall, the holiest place for Jews.Continue with a visit to the Western Wall Tunnels and Excavations site. Here we will walk on the very stones where Jesus trod, see Herod’s “second temple’, and the place where our Savior taught the scriptures. We then travel a short distance to the Mount of Olives for a breathtaking view of Jerusalem. Our guide will point out the most important sites in Jerusalem before we walk The Palm Sunday Road. On Mount Zion, we visit the Upper Room, the traditional site of the Last Supper and where the tongues of fire appeared to the Apostles on Pentecost, and visit King Da-vid’s Tomb. Our walk takes us to the Jewish Quarter before ending the day visiting the Southern Wall excavations. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B, D)

MAY 12, WEDNESDAY, DAY 10: GETHSEMANE – KIDRON VALLEY – POOL OF SI-LOAM – CAIAPHAS PALACE– VIA DOLOROSA – GARDEN TOMB On our last day in Jerusalem, we start our day visiting the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus had his agony and was betrayed. Here, we will pause for prayer time in the garden. Visit the recent archaeological discovery of the Pool of Siloam. This is the place where Jesus told the blind man to use the mud for his eyes so he would see. We visit the House of Caiaphas, where Peter denied Christ three times. Our next stop will be Antonia Fortress, site of Pilate’s Palace. We will pass many of the traditional 14 Stations of the Cross on the Via Dolorosa and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Our last stop is the Garden Tomb, a peaceful spot where we can remember Christ’s crucifixion, burial, and resurrection. Farewell dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B, D)

If you switch from air and land to land only within 90 days from departure you will be charged a $100 service fee in addition to any airline charges. All special needs and requests due to medical or dietary restrictions must be requested in writing at least 60 days prior to departure. Business class and Premium Coach seats are available upon written request; as are add-ons from your hometown airport. If you require very specific airlines or schedules, we suggest that you book your own airfare and take advantage of our “Land Only” options.Walking: Our trips require daily walking, sometimes up or down slopes, steps, and un-even terrain. We recommend preparing oneself, by walking before the trip. Anyone need-ing assistance is required to be accompanied by a qualified and physically-able travel companion.
