The Third Skin is composed of:
#1 – opaque elements
#2 – transparent elements
#3 – the details that join them
The Third Skin is supposed to:
#1 – Manage climate (heat, cold, sun, light, breezes)
#2 – Be durable
#3 – Look good!

Lintels are ALWAYS vertical above openings!
Wood has no strength against deflection when laid flat.
Impact of insulation choice in roofs:
Fiberglass batt, cellulose can get wet so must always be vented
Rigid polystyrene cannot get wet so can be sandwiched without venting
Sprayfoam insulation does not need venting.
