A RBORETUM of PENRO Surigao del Sur is a plot of land with many different trees or shrubs grown for
demonstration, educational and scientific related purposes. It also serves as the eco-tourism destination of Bislig City and Surigao del Sur.
ARBORETUM
To protect and conserve the native / indigenous flora and fauna within the arboretum area.
To re-vegetate the area with ornamental woody plants and saplings.
To provide a rare and unique tourist destination with emphasis to the importance of biodiversity.
To enhance the environmental aware-ness of the visiting tourists and the populace within the locality and the province as a whole.
To provide alternative area for recreation, leisure and enjoyment to the constitutes of Surigao del Sur and visiting tourists.
To serve as model for environmental destination of the province.
To province a living laboratory/ research/ scientific study center for the students, researchers, visitors, local communities and other government institutions while preserving the natural beauty and ambiance of the forest ecosystem.
