The ButterflyI’m so like you, little caterpillar,

Inching along, So weak and unimportant.

What can I do? Like time in the cocoon,

My youth years of studying, learning, and growing, Help prepare me to become what I need to be.

What is that? I have broken free! I am a beautiful creature,

Like a butterfly. I stand up to spread my wings for flight.

I stay true to myself, and I stand out from the others. I know who I am.

I see a butterfly who knows what it is. I feel happy,

And it brightens me. I want to be like that,

Bright, strong, and courageous butterfly. I want to stand up,

stay true, and stand out.
