iTunesprogram to add an Active Report to IBM Cognos Mobile
What is outlined in this document requires IBM Cognos 10 RP1,
Apple iTunes10.

The following document will provide step by step instructions on
how to addan IBM Cognos Active report to IBM Cognos Mobile via
Apples iTune. Thereasons one might wish to sync with iTunes are as
follows:
a) troubleshooting an Active Report on the IBM Cognos Mobile
deviceb) quick testing of an Active Report on the IBM Cognos Mobile
devicec) adhoc installation of an Active Report on the IBM Cognos
Mobile Device
for example: pre-installing Active Reports for an executives
iPad
Step 1
1) Ensure Apples iTunes is installed2) Connect the Apple iPad
via USB connecter to the computer with Apples
iTunes3) Start Apples iTunes program4) Expand the DEVICES label
on the left hand pane and highlight the iPad

5) Select the Apps Button
6) Scroll down in Apple iTunes to the File Sharing section and
select the IBMCognos Mobile App.

7) Click the add button and locate the saved Active Report.
Note: the ActiveReport must be previously saved to the operating
systems file system.
Note: drag and drop is also supported. You can drag and drop
your ActiveReport in the Document section of the App
8) Apples iTunes will automatically sync the Active Report with
the App;when the spinning icon disappears beside the Active Report
name in theIBM Cognos app on the iPad the sync operation is
complete and the
Active Report will be available for viewing.
