warranty and lifetime statementaquatherm GmbH manufacture all pipes and fitting in accordance with German DIN confirming a 50 year guarantee of service life in accordance with the permissible working pressure/temperature of their technical product manuals . Within the scope of this aquatherm® will supply replacement material pipe and fittings if damages are traceable to materials faults and defects .
Liability Warranty
Furthermore within the scope of this aquatherm GmbH gives a 10 year guarantee which compensates for material damage to third persons, for investigation, removal, replacement, acceptance, dismounting or laying bare of all defective goods .

Pressure test/Test control
Technical Rules for Potable Water Installations DIN 1988
Have to be (while still visible) hydraulicallypressure tested all pipelines . The test pressure has to be 1 .5 times of the operating pressure .
Due to the material properties of the aquatherm green, blue & lilac pipes a pressurization causes an expansion of the pipe. Different temperatures of pipe and test medium lead to alteration of pressure . A temperature change of 10 Kcorresponds to a pressure difference of 0 .5 to 1 bar .
The pressure test of aquatherm green, blue & lilac pipe should be made with a constanttemperature of the medium .
The hydraulic pressure test requires apreliminary, principal and final test .
In the preliminary test the system is pressurized with the 1.5 times of the maximum operating pressure .
this test pressure has to be re-established twice within 30 minutes within an interval of 10minutes . After a test time of a further 30minutes the test pressure must not drop more than 0 .6 bar . No leakage may appear .
The preliminary test is to be followed directly by the principal test . Test time is 2 hours . Now the test pressure taken from the preliminary test may not fall more then 0 .2 bar .
The final test is made with a changing pressure of 1 bar and 10 bars according to thediagram . The pipe system must beunpresssurized between each test cycle .
Between each test course the pressure has to be released .
No Leakage must appear at any point of the tested installation system .
Measuring of the test pressuresMeasuring has to be done with a manometer allowing a perfect reading of a pressure change of 0 .1 bar . The manometer has to be placed at the deepest point of the installation .
Test Record A test record of the hydraulic pressure test has to be prepared and signed by the client and con-tractor stating place and date . (see page 42)

aquatherm flexi is a flexable piping system manufactured from a new class of polyethylene of raised temperature type 2 materials for potable water application. With type 2, Dowlex have developed a unique molecular structure which provides improved thermal resistance,flexibility and mechanical hydrostatic strength to existing polyethylene PEX based products.
Dowlex have introduced side chain distribution instead of cross linking to polyethylene materials to support improved flexibility, pressure and aging values, smoother bore characteristics, and essentially a material that can be recycled meeting the needs of environmental and social compatibility . Like all thermoplastics flexi has excellent noise suppression a high degree of self insulation and is resistant to corrosion .
flexi is joined to DR brass to AS 3688 standards by sliding sleeve connections, an unsolvable technique, a proven mechanical application here in New Zealand.

that are joined to aquatherm green pipe,
the standard high pressure aquatherm
test can be used.
Result preliminary test:The test is to be conducted as a continuous test at 15 bar with the three steps noted above .
If leakage occurs, please replace the part and re-start the testing procedure .
The test is completed and acceptable when the above has been undertaken and no leaks are present .
