DEMOLITION ROBOTDXR 300 is our most powerful remote-controlled

demolition robot. Together with the hammer, SB 302,

it has the highest power-to weight ratio in its class

on the market. With an impressive 22 kW power and

only 78 cm wide it fits through all normal doorways.

This unique combination opens up a very wide

application window. The arm delivers long reach,

precise positioning of the tool and requires minimal

servicing. The outriggers are individually controlled,

and combined with a large footprint, provide

superior stability which enables high workload. The

robust DXR 300 is a versatile demolition robot for

both the construction and process industry. Combine

it with a variety of tools like hammers or our compact

and versatile crushers and steel shearer. For the

toughest applications we recommend our additional

feature packages. For DXR 300 we offer hydraulic

protection, enhanced cooling and heat protection.

This enables you to work with the machine in high

ambient temperatures and with the tool in a high

radiation heat. The packages can be ordered as

Aqua-Tech Solutions’ fabrication department built a launch and recovery system (LARS) for Tesla’s Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV). Aqua-Tech’s fabrication engineers performed a complete refurbish on an existing unit, integrating design features to enhance safety. Aqua-Tech’s engineers and technicians added a hydraulic power unit and remote controls to allow the operator to utilize the LARS from a distance when launching and recovering the AUV, thus keeping the operator away from any potentially hazardous mechanical moving parts. Aqua-Tech’s design also included adding a rubber barrier around the entire LARS unit, thus protecting both the unit itself and the operator.

Aqua-Tech Solutions was involved in designing and integrating an obstacle avoidance system that was mounted on a 350 HP pump and was lowered to the seafloor. The system was integrated with pressure sensors, cameras,Blu View sonar, Tritech - Eclipse sonar and acoustic absorption material and mounting brackets. The client had concerns about obstacles and obstructions that could damage the sonar equipment and software total integration. Aqua-Tech Solutions designed and fabricated an obstacle avoidance sonar, which included custom-made brackets and housed cameras, lights, and sonar equipment. This enabled the operator to get a visual on all underwater obstructions. The mounting bracket was also outfitted with shock absorbers to ensure less damage to the sensitive electronics equipment housed within. The integrated acoustic camera imaging allowed the operator to successfully utilize the equipment in a debris field. Aqua-Tech’s innovative tool design later set an industry standard for other dredging companies who utilize underwater vision tools in harsh or turbulent conditions.

Aqua-Tech Solutions was awarded the South Florida Water Management District’s manatee protection system updgrade. Its intention was to develop and evaluate a noncontact manatee protection system that uses sonar, thermal and visual imagery, and passive acoustic feed gate controller operations, provide video telemetry for remore viewing and accomodate gate control override for control room operations. Aqua-Tech took pride in being a true “solutions provider” and welcomed the challenge with confidence and enthusiasm.

Bell RecoveryAugust 2015

On August 7, 2015, a Paul G. Allen expedition recovered the HMS Hood Bell. The bell will be restored and given to the British Royal Navy. Suction cup system pictured was custom fabricated by the amazing team at Aqua-Tech Solutions. We are a true solutions provider! PORTSMOUTH, ENGLAND—The bell from the British battlecruiser HMS Hood has been recovered from the floor of the Denmark Strait by a team led by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. In May 1941, Hood exploded and sank after it was hit by the German battleship Bismarck. Only three of the 1,418 crew members survived. Allen’s team used a remotely operated vehicle to retrieve the bell. Once the restoration is complete, it will become part of a display at the National Museum of the Royal Navy and a memorial to its fallen World War II-era sailors. “For the 1,415 officers and men who lost their lives in HMS Hood on 24 May 1941, the recovery of her bell and its subsequent place of honor in the National Museum of the Royal Navy in Portsmouth will mean that future generations will be able to gaze upon her bell and remember with gratitude and thanks the heroism, courage, and personal sacrifice of Hood’s ship’s company who died in the service of their country,” Rear Admiral Philip Wilcocks, president of the HMS Hood Association, said in a statement reported in USNI News. Aqua-Tech Solutions was tasked with the challenge of creating a way to cut out a section of grating in a hazardous area in one of Phillips Petroleum’s chemical plants in Baton Rouge, La. This job challenged one of our core values to solve those tough challenges. Our engineers came up with a solution using an existing product (Holmatro cutter). We used a blade made by Holmatro that actually cuts and also acts as a spreader. This was needed to dislodge the grating and cut it out from a safe distance. We were able to fabricate a lever throttle actuating extension handle which enabled the workers to work at an approved, safe distance to successfully complete their task. Phillips Petroleum was very grateful for the teamwork and effort Aqua-Tech put forth to accomplishthe job on time and on budget.
