For over 30 years HB BODY S.A. have been manufacturing and distributing a quality range of automotive refinish products globally. The new waterborne paint system AQUA-BODY is the latest addition to our professional refin-ish range. AQUA-BODY compliments our already comprehensive range of products offering to the Body Shop a complete solution. It utilises third generation technology resulting in high quality, high efficiency and excellent productivity. AQUA-BODY is easy to apply, has excellent coverage, fast drying and forms part of our Pro V.O.C compliant range. It consists of 52 toners (Solid, metallic, pearl and Xirallic®) and stored in special heated designed cabinet. The colour swatches are hand made and painted with our own AQUA-BODY paint system. This is regularly updated along with the computerized colour formulations.

A one component high quality acrylic resin based waterborne basecoat mix-sys-tem. Reduce 10-15% with AQUA-BODY 773 SPRAYING SOLVENT. Clean surface and spraying equipment with AQUA-BODY 772 DEGREASER. Comprises 52 basic tinters metallic, solid colours, pearls and Xirallic® pearls. Supplied with a espe-cially designed heated cabinet, manually sprayed colourchip cupboard and soft-ware for shade recipes covering all car manufacturers.

Special thinner (reducer) for waterborne basecoat paint. Contains high purity de-mineralised water and special additives for proper surface wetting and levelling. Add 10-15% of AQUA-BODY 773 SPRAYING SOLVENT to adjust the AQUA-BODY basecoat paint viscosity to the desired level.

AQUA-BODY 773SPRAYING SOLVENT

Isocyanate hardener especially designed for giving AQUA-BODY basecoat paint excellent weathering and chemical resistance. It is mixed by 5% within the ready to spray AQUA-BODY basecoat paint. For use ONLY on inner metallic parts on which no clearcoat is applied, e.g. under hood. Has to be stored in metallic cans.

AQUA-BODY 774HARDENER

Special Blend-in Thinner for AQUA-BODY basecoat paint. Suitable for all AQUA-BODY MIX SYSTEM shades either metallic or non-metallic, whenever blending (fade-out) on spot repairs is necessarry.

AQUA-BODY 776BLEND-IN THINNER

Special waterborne degreaser for the removal of any contamination from sur-faces prior to painting. Also to be used as cleaning solvent for any spraying equip-ment of waterbased paint. It is absolutely necessary to wash out the spraying gun with AQUA-BODY 772 DEGREASER just before pouring into the gun’s pot the AQUA-BODY paint. Contains high purity demineralised water and additives for proper cleaning.

Reduce with 10-15% AQUA BODY 773 SPRAYING SOLVENT. Mix well and filter through paper filter.

• In Body Primed surfaces.

• In metallic surfaces.

• OEM surfaces.

Clean substrate using paper and AQUA-BODY 772 Degreaser.

Ready to spray: 22-26 s /23°C.

Non force dry - 15-20 min / 23°C.

Make sure the surface is air dried rather than wiped dry. Make sure you always use appropriate face protection and good ventilation.

1.5 passes and a final mist → Apply a thin coat, and after a 5 min flash off time apply a normal coat and a orientation mist only for metallic shades.

VOC (2004/42/EC)This product is a special refinish product based on its ingredients and its properties. The maxi-mum VOC content in this category is 420 g/L. The VOC content in the ready for use form of this product is 400 g/L2004/42/IIB(d)(420)400.

Theoretical Coverage:10-15 m2/lt at 15μm dry film thickness.

Cleaning of equipment:Clean after final use with AQUA-BODY 772 DEGREASER.

Remarks:• Allow for additional time for combi spray booths to reach the desired temperature.• Application only with AQUA BODY 773 SPRAYING SOLVENT.• After preparing the area to be painted ensure it to be free from dirt, wax, oil etc.• It can be used by countries that do not adopt the VOC legislation as well.• Store between +5ºC and +35ºC. Use within 12 months for best results. Guaranteed shelf life of 12 months in unused original containers 18 months from production date.• Optimum applying tempera-ture 25ºC.

HVLP 1.2-1.3 mm. 2 bar inlet pressure. 1.5 coats = 15-20 micron.
