NSS activities 2017- 2018
In the month of June
On the occasion of International Yoga day NSS I, II, III units conducted programme on
‘Yoga exercises’ theoretically and practically by Yoga master Sri B.Ramesh.
On account of world population day NSS units conducted a rally by students. NSS units
participated in Vanam- Manam and sapling of plants by volunteers in the college campus.
August
NSS I and II units participated Swatch pakhwada and conducted a survey by the volunteers on
socio-economic conditions in an adopted village Naamavaram.
NSS I and II units participated in 75 years Quit India movement celebrations and conducted a
rally by the volunteers.
NSS unit III participated in clean and green at the staff room a part from the Swach bharat
programme .

All the NSS units conducted NSS day celebrations, Principal, PO’s of the three units and
students are actively participated.
NSS unit I conducted a special camp at kateru. Nearly 50 volunteers participated in it.
Unit- III conducted a rally on‘Each -one -Teach one’.
NSS unit- I and III conducted a rally on” Rivers” in collaboration with ISHA foundation .

NSS unit-III conducted a special camp at Rajendranagar, community hall.
NSS unit-II and III volunteers attended and rendered services at medical camp at SKVT
high school and satellite city.

All NSS units were conducted a rally on worlds AIDS day which was observed on
December 1st
NSS units-I,II,III participated in a rally on ODF from Government college to Pushkarghat.
January
NSS unit-I observed national voter’s day with 50 volunteers and conducted a rally.
All NSS units (PO’S and volunteers ) participated in Janmabhoomi ‘Maa-Vuru’
programme and attended grama sabhas …….
NSS unit-II participated in 5-k run with volunteers from Government College to Pushkara
ghat in Janmabhoomi programme.
All the NSS units participated in the republic day which was celebrated on January 26th
2018.
Ms. Pushpa Latha from III B.Com participated in Republic day parade at Delhi.
NSS unit-III attended youth festival at Noida on January -2018.
February
All the NSS units participated in in Youth convention in connection with Swami Vivekanada
Birthday at RamaKrishna Math.
Students participated in quiz programme conducted by ONGC.
All the NSS units participated in chainknobb support conducted by Gurajagada Apparao
foundation at SKVT college .
March
NSS unit II participated in pulse polio programme with 10 volunteers at APSRTC.
All NSS PO’s met state liaison officer and co- ordinators .

YRC activities
3day first-aid and disaster management [September 9th to 11] training programme sponsored
by government of A.P [IRC] Kakinada . 60 volunteers participated in this programme .
Distribution of nutrition food on December 1st 2017 to 50 AIDS effected childrens worth of
10,000 rupees and 10 volunteers participated.
Anti-Ragging cell

5. Student Support and Progression
5.1 Contribution of IQAC in enhancing awareness about Student Support Services
5.2 Efforts made by the institution for tracking the progression
Monitoring the activities of NSS units, Red ribbon club, Ecoclub, Women
empowerment cell and Consumer club.
Conducting orientation and monitoring sessions for all first year students .
Publicized information about student support services in the prospectus.
Address students during fresher’s day on various student support services
available in college .
Various events and competitions like quiz, elocution, debates ,seminars ,
cultural events, etc are conducted among various student support wings to
promote healthy competition.

The career guidance cell not only guides the students on
oppurtuinities for career improvement but also provides books and
material for competitive examinations.
JKC provides training to all students on communication skills, soft

and interview skills.
Guest lectures are delivered by subject experts and directors of

‘Simple Defence Techniques ‘ for students at open auditorium .
Women Empowerment Cell frequently contacts ‘she-team ‘ for the protection
of our students during college working hours.

6.3.3 Examination and Evaluation
The college has been following the semester pattern of examinations as
assigned and approved by Adi Kavi Nannaya University.
100 marks theory paper is revised in 75 for external and 25 marks as internal
valuation.
To assess the students by conducting internal examinations for 15 marks

students who came from interior places with the help of alumni in collaboration
