Programmes

• On 25/10/2017 in collaboration with National Women Council Delhi and

Women Empowerment Cell organised a awareness program on ‘Legal

Rights of Women’. Dr. Basavaraj Kubakaddi Lecture Shri S. C. Nandimath

Law College has delivered a speech.

• Also on 29/10/2017 a quiz competition was conducted & 300 students

were participated.

• On 31/01/2018 Women Empowerment Cell, EDP Cell & Dept. of Home

Science were jointly organised a One-day workshop on ‘Flower

Arrangement’. Dr. Shirol HOD & Dr. B. G. Champa Dept. of Floriculture

and Landscape Architecture UHS Bagalkot was the resource person.

• On 8/3/2018 International Women’s Day was celebrated. Smt. M. R.

Kamakshi DDPI Karnataka Education Board Bagalkot was the chief guest

to this program.

• On 4/4/2018 Commerce Association & EDP cell has organised Food Fest

and Art Exhibition cum Sale by the students.

Cultural

Activities

• On 20/7/2017 Cultural, Sports and NSS Annual Activities for the

Academic year 2017-18 was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr.

Akkamahadevi Nadagouda Principal Murusaviramath Women’s College

Hubli.

• On 23/8/2017 District Level Kannada Science Seminar Competition was

held in V. M. K. S. R Vastrad College Hunagund. In that Competition our

B.Sc. students were participated and two got I Rank with cash prize & two

got II Rank.

• Miss Divya Bonageri B.Com. IV semester student was selected in Pre RD

Pared & also participated in ‘Republic Pared’ held in Bangalore on 3rd &

4th October 2017.

• From 10 to 12th October 2017 Students were participated in 14th

Intercollegiate Youth Festival of Akkamahadevi Women’s University

Vijayapura in Vidyabharati Women’s College Karatagi at Ganagavati and

also won the prizes in Clay Modelling III place and in Folk Dance Runner

Up.

• From 1 to 5th October 2017 our students were participated in a State level

Ninasam ‘Sahitya Sanskriti – 2017’ camp conducted in Heggod, Sagar.

• On 16/10/2017 Youth Red Cross Unit conducted Quiz competition for

• On 16, 17/12/2017 State Level Intercollegiate Kannada Science Seminar

Competition was held in Nilambika Govt. Girls PU College Basava

Kalyana and our B.Sc. Students were participated in the programme.

• On 24/1/2018 in collaboration with Kannada Sahitya Academy Student

Kavya Kammata Program was organised in Bagalkot District Kannada

Sahitya Parishat. In that programme our students were participated.

• On 24, 25/2/2018 our students were participated in Bagalkot District 6th

Kannada Sahitya Sammelana. The Nadageete was hosted by our students.

Also a B.Com. student Miss Pooja Badardinni has presented a seminar on

‘Science & Technology’ in the program.

• In collaboration with Kannada Pustak Pradhikar Banglore on 12/3/2018 in

the Inauguration of ‘Jan-Janeyar Balaga’ an Essay competition was

conducted on ‘Nanna Nechchina Pustak’. Miss Ashwini Rajaput Ist prize,

Miss S.S.Choudari IInd prize and Miss Bhuvaneshwari Raddi, Miss Savita

Tumbaramatti got IIIrd prize.

• On 4/6/2018 18th Annual Day and Prize Distribution program was

organised in presence of the Chief Guest Smt. Savitri Muzumadar

Syndicate Member Akkamahadevi Women’s University, Vijayapura. In the

same event the ‘8th Kadalishree’ magazine was released and also felicitated

to B.A. student Smt. Shavamma Amari 9th Rank to the University and the

10 University Blues.

Sports Activities

• On 16, 17 Sept. 2017 the Handball Team of our College got I prize in

Intercollegiate Handball Tournament of Akkamahadevi Women’s

University Vijayapura.

• On 20, 21/09/2017 Akkamahadevi Women’s University Vijayapura an

Intercollegiate Hockey and Table Tennis Tournament was organised by our

College. We got II place in Table Tennis and the Hockey Team was

selected to the University.

• On 23rd & 24th Sept. 2017 Intercollegiate Yoga Competition was held in

Govt. First Grade Women’s College Koppal. Our students were

participated and got 3rd prize in that.

• On 25, 26th Sept. 2017 13th Athletic Meet was held in Akkamahadevi

Women’s University Vijayapura. In that event Miss Vanishree Sangaraddi

got I prize with Gold Medal.

• On 13th Athletic meet, our college students kumari Vanishri Sangaraddi

got gold medal by achieving First rank, the meet was held on 25th &26th

1. The Annual Magazine - “Kadalishree”

Goals:-

The magazine is mainly to expose and encourage the hidden talent of

the students in the form of writing. The college is having students of diverse nature

who are having good calibre in different talents. Every student can express her

ideas, thoughts and memories in the form of articles, stories, poems etc. This

magazine also gives an information of academic activities of the college.

Context:-

When the students submit the articles, stories, poems to the editorial

committee, after editing these are published in the magazine. This activity

enhances other students to cultivate such hobbies.

The Objectives:-

The platform to exhibit their talent.

The Practice:-

The magazine editorial committee visit to all classes to encourage the

students for preparing the articles at the beginning of the academic year.

Evidence of Success:-

After motivating the students are promoted to exhibit their talents by

writing articles and poems.

2. Add-on course for non-computer students

Goals:-

• To know Basics of computer

• To utilize it for data storage

• To be in the IT world by knowing the latest technology

• Communication Gadget

Context:-

In this world everyone should get the knowledge of computer

technology. A person will not be perfect unless they know the basic operations

of computer. In the all the fields of Science and Technology, Culture, Business,

Art, Agriculture, Medicine etc., the computer knowledge is most necessary for

success. The Add-on course is for the students who have not chosen computer

science as one optional subject in the course. Hence the purpose each student

should get the knowledge of computer, the course was started. By this course

students can be self employed.

The Objectives:-

• Self equipping with current trends.

• Job opportunities in all aspect.

The Practice:-

The Add-on course was started to help and upgrade their knowledge.

Evidence of Success:-

The students are able to access the Internet, Documentation, Kannada

text typing. Many students are working as Teacher, Data Entry Operator and

Self Entrepreneur. This practice motivates the students to improve their skills.

It motivates the students to upgrade their knowledge and go for employment.

Problem encountered and Resources required:-

In implementing this practice no problem as such as been experienced.
