Writing Part 4

Esta parte está dividida en dos:

4a) Un email informal a un amigo

● 40 - 50 words (informal)

4b) Un email formal dirigido a una persona desconocida o entidad

● 130 - 150 words (formal)

Time: 10 + 20 = 30 minutes

● La estructura de los dos emails no suele variar.

● Lo que cambia es la información que se debe incluir en los 2 textos

(siempre dependiendo del contenido del email que se proporciona en la

tarea).

● Además, ambos textos, el formal y el informal, requieren responder a la

misma información. Sin embargo, el texto informal es más simple (y más

corto que el email formal).

Las instrucciones incluyen un anuncio o aviso (notice) de una

organización (la que proporciona el contexto para las tareas

anteriores). En éste se basará la respuesta escrita incluida en los 2

emails que hay que escribir.

Además, se dan instrucciones específicas (a quién va dirigido y la intención o función requerida) en cada email.

Writing Part 4Las funciones que se deberían conocer para realizar esta parte son:

● Expresar opiniones.

● Dar razones y justificaciones.

● Describir expectativas y planes.

● Dar información precisa.

● Expresar ideas abstractas, así como certeza, probabilidad y duda.

● Quejarse y reclamar.

● Especular, evaluar, expresar hipótesis.

● Expresar acuerdo y desacuerdo.

● Sugerir alternativas y dar consejos.

Esta tarea requiere la producción escrita de textos con párrafos más

largos. Siempre que sea posible hay que usar conectores textuales.

Recuerda tener en cuenta el registro en el que se escribe (formal o

informal).

Las Escalas de Evaluación específicas para cada tarea del Writing Test para

esta tarea puntúan de 0 a 6, siendo la puntuación de 3 o 4 si se demuestra un

nivel B2 y de 5 o 6 si el nivel alcanzado es superior a B2.

Consejos y Sugerencias

● Comprende la diferencia en escribirle a un amigo (Informal) en lugar de

escribirle a una autoridad o persona desconocida (Formal).

● Responde de manera coherente. El texto tiene que tener sentido.

● La escritura tiene que ser clara y precisa utilizando una variedad de

conectores (Connectives/Cohesive Devices) para que la escritura fluya.

● La gramática y el vocabulario deben ser amplios y precisos (utilizando

gramática y vocabulario nivel B2).

Estructura de las carta/email informal

Saludo InicialSe pueden utilizar algunas fórmulas de cortesía informales tras el saludo

Decir cómo te sientes (tras leer el mensaje) y sugerir una

alternativaSe pueden usar exclamaciones para expresar sentimientos y dar énfasis

Se deben utilizar contracciones como ‘I’m’, ‘don’t’, etc.

Despedida Final
