Theislandandthesurrounding32smallerislandsformPhuketProvincecoveratotalareaof570squareklsandonthenorthareconnectedtothemainlandbytwobridgesrunningside-by-side,SarasinandThepkrasattriBridges.
Day 1GuestsboardattheeastcoastofPhuket,a15mindrivefromtheairport.FromeastcoastofPhukettoKoHong(16NM’s)you’llfind kayaking, cavesand verybeautiful scenery. Ifguestswishtheycantakethetender(shallowwater)andgototheseagypsyvillagenearthe‘JamesBond’Island.Wedonot recommendguests stopatJamesBondIslandasitishighlyvisitedbytourists.AnchoratKoHongovernight.
Day 2YachtdepartsKoHongandheadssouthforKoKaiNok(18NM’s)forbeachtime,snorkelingandswimming.
Mid-morningtheyachtdepartsKoKaiNokandheadstotheEastsideofKoYaoYaiandKoYaoNoi(19NM’s)foraverynicesailthroughtheKoPakBiagroupofislands.
Again,largelimestoneislandsarefoundhere.Itislesstouristyandthereareacoupleoffantasticbeachesinthisarea,withthebestoneatKoHong.ThereisanotherKoHongonthissideandguestscangointhetendertothecenterofKoHong.Anchorovernight.
Day 3Yacht departs Ko Hong earlymorning and headssoutheasttoKrabi(10NM’s).
BoatanchorsatRaleighbeach.Guestsspendthedayhereandcanselecttogorockclimbing,swimmingorjustchilloutunderthelimestonecliffs.Eveningdinnerata5-starhotel.
Day 4EarlymorningdepartforPhiPhiLey(28NM’s).ThisIslandwasmadefamouswhentheyfilmed‘TheBeach’afewyearsago.Hereyou’ll findcrystalclearwater, hugelimestonecliffsand some lovelybeaches. There isasmallbayonthisislandandit’sworthavisitbytenderorkayak.
ThereisalsoasmallcavewhichhousesChineseVikingpaintingsandisthelocationforthecollectingofbirds’nests,used tomake the famous ‘ChineseBirds’NestSoup’.Lateevening/overnightdeparttoPhuket–SurinBeach.(50NM’s)
Day 5SpendthedayattheworldfamousAmanpuriHotel,reportedtobeamongthetoptenhotelsaroundtheworld.Otheroptionsaretoenjoythemanyactivitiesonthe island,which includeelephant riding,go-karting,monkeyandsnakeshows, temple(Wat)visitsandtoattendPhuket’sfamedextravaganza‘Fantasea’(stageshow).
TheBanyanTreeSpaisashortcardriveawayandthisaward-winningspaisratedasamongthebestintheworld.FollowingarelaxingspavisitabeautifuldinneratanyofPhuket’sgourmetorcasualdiningspotsisnottobemissed.Anchorovernight.
Day 6SurinBeach to Similan Islands (51Nm’s) – The SimilanIslands lienorthwestofPhuket in theAndamanSea.In1982this128squarekilometerareawasdeclaredamarinenationalpark.InrecentyearsthegroupofninesmallislandshasbecomeoneoftheleadingattractionsforvisitorstoSouthernThailand(SimilanisderivedfromtheMalayword,‘sembilan’,andmeansnine).
Spendthedaydivingandanchorhereovernight.Thisisabeautifulbacktonatureexperience.
Day 7Similan Islands toPatongBeach – (65NM’s) Back toPatongBeachfortransfertoairport.
