VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT Employer: UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE) Post title: Secretary to the Director, 1st category specialist
Duty station: Moscow, Russia Address: 8 Kedrova Street, building 3, Moscow, 117292 Russian Federation Immediate supervisor: Director a.i of the UNESCO IITE
Main responsibilities
Under the overall supervision of the Director a.i. of the UNESCO IITE, the Subscriber shall perform the following duties:
- Draft simple routine correspondence in English and Russian on the instructions of the Director; - Maintain office calendar and logs; - Assist in the preparation of the UNESCO IITE’s report, brochures and flyers and their
reproduction; - Plan and screen telephone calls and respond to routine enquiries; receive visitors; - Receive, screen, log and route correspondence, including e-mails, and prepare such correspondence
for necessary follow-up action; - Compile UNESCO IITE databases including electronic archives; - Maintenance of UNESCO IITE e-archive and files; - Other secretarial duties as required.
Requirements: - Higher education (completed or last year’ studies - Excellent knowledge of both oral and written English and Russian - Drafting and interpreting skills - Good organizational skills - Computer literacy (Windows OS, MS Office, Fine Reader, Internet browsers) - Office equipment user
Desirable: - Work experience on similar position for at least one year; - Familiarity with UNESCO mandate and programmes; - Creativity, ability to handle stress, responsibility, well-developed skills of constructive business
interaction, result and team orientation in a multicultural environment; high degree of integrity and to take initiative.
Condition of employment:
- Full-time, Monday-Friday; initial three months probation period.
