    Key Updates and Activities

    October

    ICET has been accepted as a founding member of

    theEducation Futures Collaborationan

    independent organization for educators and their

    partners working collaboratively to improve the

    quality of education.

    ICET has established aGlobal Education First

    Catalytic Community. This is a global online

    community for those wishing to work with the

    International Council on Education for

    Teaching and contribute to the success of

    UNESCOs GlobalEducation First Initiative.

    Membership is free and I invite everyone to join

    and contribute to the vitality of this space.

    ICET is taking the lead role in organizing the First

    UNESCO NGO Liaison Forum. The Working Title

    is Quality Education through Global Citizenship.

    This title reflects two of the three key priorities of

    the Global Education First Initiative (GEFI).The

    forum will take place at UNESCO Headquarter

    Paris on Monday September 23. Places at this

    forum are limited; however the key note addresswill be streamed by UNESCO for those wishing to

    learn more about GEFI.

    ICET will be presenting at the round table

    colloquium on internationalizing teacher education

    which of the NAFSA 56thnational conferencein St.

    Louis, Missouri, May 26-31.

    Ethan our Webmaster made some major updates

    to the webpage. Recent additional include

    o Amapof where ICET a has been and

    where it is going

    o TheICET Members Librarycontaining all

    of the articles and Key Note Presentations

    of the ICET Year Books from 2005- 2012 .
