Linda Jackson McNeil is the Vice President of Development for BRIDGES, where she consistently reaches an annual campaign goal exceeding $1.3 million. She has successfully directed a $10 million capital campaign, a $5 million challenge campaign, introduced a planned giving program and has secured $13.5 million for BRIDGES endowment. McNeil is a lfe-long Memphian who has helped lead - and in some cases create - several of Memphis’ philanthropic initiatives. In 2010 she was awarded the Crystal Award for Outstanding Fundraising Executive from the AFP Memphis Chapter.
Kim Gaskill is co-owner of Gaskill Strategies, LLC a Memphis-based firm that works with nonprofits (and for-profits) for communications, fundraising and strategic planning needs. Past and present clients include Methodist Le Bonheur, BRIDGES, Ballet Memphis, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and others. Gaskill has been active in the public relations and development sphere in Memphis for 20+ years. She is a recipient of the MBJ’s Top 40 under 40 and 50 Women Who Make a Difference, as well as being a graduate of Leadership Memphis.

2. Date & place of birth? February 22 - Mt. Clemens, Michigan
3. How long have you lived in the area? Most of my life - we moved to Memphis when I was 6 months old.
4. Occupation? Special Event Coordinator for Le Bonheur Foundation
5. Who was your most influential role model? My parents
6. Favorite place to go, favorite trip, hike, etc.? Ghost hunting with my sisters
7. Favorite local business? The Art Center Supply Store
8. Favorite food? Mexican - I love chips and dip
9. Favorite book? Eelfish, A Rock and Roll King - written by yours truly! Also anything written by Rupert Holmes
10. Favorite movie? My Man Godfrey - 1936 with William Powell and Carole Lombard - great movie!
11. What do you waste your money on? Eating out
12. What is the craziest & most adventurous thing you have done? Ghost hunting! This summer we have plans to
spend the night in a haunted insane asylum!
13. What is your fondest memory? Summertime family gatherings and our “Front Porch Productions”.
14. If you could change one thing about Memphis what would it be? Nothing. I love Memphis just the way it is.
15. What do you think makes Memphis a good place to live? I love the diversity - Memphis is a great mixture of
everything for everyone.
16. Tell me about one hidden Memphis treasure others should know about? The Crystal Grotto at Memorial Park

18. If you were to try any other profession for one day, what would it be? A lounge singer.
19. What is one fundraising best practice you can share with AFP membership? Use an agenda at meetings and
stick to it. It really helps get the job done in a timely manner and leaves no stone unturned.
