Mt. Carmel Connections “The Pinnacle of Senior Living”
Duis varius: Aenean id tellus:
Although April can sometimes be a rainy, dreary month, it is the first full month of spring and its showers are said to bring forth flowers! Apart from their beauty, flowers also enable us to say a lot without ever speaking a word! In Victorian times, the language of flowers was very intricate, each bloom expressing a different meaning. Did you know that there is symbolism attached to flowers based on the various colors of their blooms? Tulips, for example, are among the first blooms of the spring season, and purple tulips are said to symbolize a new beginning. If you are not currently involved in our daily activities, we want to encourage you to begin participating today! Join us for a variety of pursuits that will tickle your funny bone, challenge your mind and body, and speak to your soul. Springtime has been defined as “the season of growth.” We are confident that you will experience growth physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and spiritually, by becoming involved in all that Mt. Carmel Community has to offer!

National Volunteer Week is celebrated annually, in April, across the country. At Mt. Carmel, we believe our volunteers are a very valuable part of our family. Our staff is hosting a special Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon in their honor on Tuesday, April 26th. You may also want to pass along a word of thanks and encouragement this month as we celebrate their contribution to our community!
Travelers Baseball April 12th is Senior Day at Dickey Stephens Park in NLR and you are invited to come watch the Arkansas Travelers Baseball team in action! The ticket price of $13 covers your entry into the game and includes your lunch of all-you-can-eat hamburgers and hot dogs. Sign up at the front desk and join us for the “Greatest Game on Dirt!”
