HOLY WEEK RECAP:

Thank you, Choir, for

your prayer and par-

ticipation in Holy

Week observances

and for your leader-

ship in our Palm Sun-

day and Resurrection

Sunday services. The

Palm Sunday drum-

infused palm march

that you helped lead

was exciting! The

Good Friday service

was meaningful and

well-attended. For

Resurrection Sunday,

many people (approx.

50 cars) parked at

Gardiner, which took

pressure off of

OCEC’s parking lot.

Also, the crowds were

well-distributed among

the services, so that

each service was full,

but none were over-

crowded. Here are

some attendance fig-

ures:

Total sanctuary

attendance: 939

Total Sunday School

attendance: 399 (includes Friendship

Co., Klub Jesus &

hallway)

Total attendance in

the building: 1338

GOSPEL SING 2010: Get your toe warmed

up and ready for tap-

ping! A beloved tradi-

tion at OCEC is our bi-

annual Gospel Sing

concert, which this

year is scheduled for

Sunday, May 17 at

6pm. Thank you for

your input in selecting

some of the songs for

our concert. Using your

top 7 “oldies” choices

and adding a few newer

titles, here is a prelimi-

nary song list for Gospel

Sing 2010:

Giving Thanks

Good Ol’ Gospel Sing-

ing

Paid In Full Through

Promises One By One

Lean On Me

Movin’ Up to Gloryland

The First Day of For-

ever

To this list, we’ll also

add a couple of ensem-

ble selections. I will

encourage but not re-

quire memorization for

this concert. How about

if we wear bright, solid

colors for our perform-

ance attire? Also, I’d

like to explore the pos-

sibility of taking selec-

tions from this concert

to the Mission (City

Team). What do you

say?
