Eisenhower students took a field trip to their gym. There they found the Dome Theater waiting for them. The Dome Theater is a mobile theater. It features highly innovative, immersive, and educational programs. The second grade students enjoyed “The Dinosaur Prophecy”. They joined paleontologists as they excavated bones to speculate about what killed the mighty dinosaur. The third grade students enjoyed “Earth’s Wild Ride”. They experienced a heart pounding exhilaration of a water canyon ride near an erupting volcano.

The students were able to enjoy these adventures from the comfort of their school!

Coolidge Ladies of Academic Success and Service (CLASS) along with Coolidge Students with Academic Pride (SWAP) held their annual banquet at Dave and Busters!

Dear Parents:

School District 151 would like to formally invite all Veterans to our 40th annual Memorial Day

program on Friday, May 23, 2014. The event will begin with coffee and doughnuts at the Ameri-

can Legion Hall, 443 East 157th Street, South Holland at 8:30 a.m. It will end at the American

Legion for a luncheon, after visits to our four district schools and the Holland Home Retirement

Center.

The program at each location will be approximately twenty minutes and will include a presenta-

tion of colors, the playing of “The Star Spangled Banner”, a speech given by a student about the

meaning and importance of Memorial Day, an introduction of guests, and the playing of Taps.

A bus, contributed by the Illinois Central Bus Company, will take the participants and guests to

each location, leaving the American Legion at 8:45 a.m. and returning in time for the luncheon.

The staff and children would deeply appreciate having you attend the program this year. If you

are or know of any family members that are Veterans, and would like to attend this year’s Memo-

rial Day program, please contact Donnesie Hill at (708) 339-1516 so that you may be added to

our guest list.
