PALS Hosts Baseball Mascot to Support Reading
Gill, the mascot from the Lakeshore Chinooks baseball team, visited our school during student lunch hours last week to encourage students to keep
on reading in order to complete Gill's Reading Challenge! Students learned Gill's secret handshake and were able to say hello or give him a high five! Students who read 20 days or more for the month of April and turn in their
Chinook's reading calendar will earn a free ticket to an upcoming Chinooks game, as well as a wristband to get into the Kids Zone during the game! Gill's visit was definitely a
hit at Lincoln!

NOTES FROM THE PRIDE April 25, 2018
PAW PRIDE WINNERS WEEK 35
WILL YOUR CHILD BE ATTENDING LES NEXT YEAR? If your child will NOT be attending LES next year, please call the school office at 268-5800, e-
mail [email protected], or stop in and let us know as soon as possible. This information is very important as we plan for the next school
year.
Mother-Son Event The first-ever PALS Mother-Son Scavenger Hunt,
held last Friday evening, was a huge success. There were 64 kids and 54 mothers/special ladies who participated! Everyone had a fun time. A huge thank you to Sarah Dahl, Jennifer Dimmer, and Tina Olson for coordinating the event. You might be interested to know that both Sarah Dahl and Tina Olson offered to help plan the event even though they do not have sons themselves! They were kind enough to help get the Mother-Son Adventure up and running. If you enjoyed the event, and have interest in being on the planning committee for next year, please email us at [email protected].
OUTSTANDING SCHOOL FEES All outstanding fees must be paid as soon as possible. These fees include last year’s school/summer school fees, lunch,
and/or lost or damaged school and library book fees. Please contact the LES office with questions or to pay any outstanding fees.
PALS Board Elections
Every year PALS elects board members at the last monthly meeting of the school year (May 10th). Please consider nominating yourself or an interested parent, grandparent or guardian of a Lincoln student! The positions of Vice
President, Treasurer, and Public Relations Coordinator are up for election. If you are interested, or know of someone who may be interested, please
complete the attached flyer or email us at [email protected].
New Book Fair Chair(s) Needed for Next Year Would you like to get more involved with the Book Fair? PALS is currently
looking for a new chair/co-chairs as the current co-chairs will be heading up the Book Fair one last time this Spring. It would be a great opportunity to
shadow them this Spring to learn more about it. If you are interested in chairing this committee, please email us at [email protected].
Please pack an extra set of clothes in your child’s backpack. When a child spills milk at lunch or finds a puddle at recess, he/she will be able to
change into their own clothes and comfortably return to class. We have a very limited supply of items to loan, and when we run out, we will need to
phone a parent to get dry clothing.
STOP IN AND LOOK THROUGH OUR LOST & FOUND! ALL ITEMS WILL BE DONATED TO CHARITY VERY SOON!
April Menu May Menu Click on the link above to see the menu. Lincoln and TJMS will have the same hot lunch menu this year. When looking at the menu, the underlined items will be the only main entree served at Lincoln on those particular days.

4th Graders and Parents/Guardians
Back in January and February our school took part in creating tiles for the Chimney Swift Sculpture
Installation being created by artist Sally Duback for an Ozaukee park. This installation is designed to
give a new home to birds and other wildlife. Each 4th grader created 3-4 clay tiles and glazed them.
This project is coming to completion!!!
If you are available please take time to come to the grand event!!! Thanks – Mr. Nygaard
