It was a chorus group in Shikoku Island who sang ‘Ode to Joy’ in front of SGI President.He declared to lead the Soka Gakkai once again and asked members to stand up and fight with him if they understood his heart.

On the night of December 8, 1981 when President Ikeda arrived Oita, Kyushu, Mr. Maruoka, vice president of Soka Gakkai, reported to president Ikeda that in Oita prefecture alone 2390 members left Soka Gakkai and became Nichiren Shoshu temple members last several years, but only 23 youths left the Soka Gakkai. Delighted with the news, President composed a historical poem “Youth, Scale the Mountain of Kosen-rufu of 21st century.”
