The Town of Princeton values the importance of promoting an active and healthy lifestyle for all.

Princeton Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services are in the process of developing a 10 year Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan with the input of Princeton’s recreational users through public consultation and community surveying. This plan will help the Town and community to work together in creating and developing recreation facilities, parks and trails according to a shared vision. The completed plan will be available in late July.

This summer leisure guide is full of activities and events created by our department and community organizations who share in creating a variety of interests for all members of our community.

We encourage you, your family and your friends to take advantage of the variety of healthy opportunities available in Princeton.

Enjoy,

"It is indeed a goodly land: a land of mountains and

rolling hills, rivers, glens and lakes; a land of untold

mineral wealth, rare scenic beauty and strange mystic

charm." John Goodfellow,

“The Story of the Similkameen”

Summertime at the Museum...TOYS TOYS TOYS!

EXPLORE THE PRINCETON MUSEUMS SUMMER OF TOYS!Our temporary summer exhibition will be a focus on the history of toys. With local finds from our own archives, combined with treasures on loan from our museum members, and generous individuals in our community, enjoy our engaging and fun exhibition that celebrates youth, and everything great about being a kid, then and now!

SUMMER HOURSSummer students allow our museum expanded hours during the summer months. With thanks to the HRDC summer jobs program, and Heritage Canada Youth Canada Works Program, our museum is staffed full time from July - September. Come visit our helpful staff at the museum during our summer months, open 7 days a week, from 10 am - 6 pm

VOLUNTEERSWith the help of dedicated volunteers our museum is evolving into a modern facility for visitors, historians and researchers. We are growing and changing at a rapid rate, and the huge leaps in technology and expansion is all thanks to the hard working individuals who give us their time, their skills and share their wisdom. Contact us to join this amazing group on a journey into the future while exploring our past.

“You're off to Great Places!Today is your day!
