Character trait for May is Helpfulness! Like the crossing guards for our school you can be helpful by being a teacher helper, picking up after yourselves and others at home, classroom, playground and cafeteria. We all
can be helpful in saving money for our school by not wasting paper (always use both sides), turning off lights and equipment when not in use, and recycling. Lincoln Park has great students and over 100 Lion Leaders we all can be proud of. Thank you to all who
make Lincoln Park a great school by being helpful!

Lion Leaders
Lincoln Park Lion Leaders is a self-manager program that encourages and recognizes Grades K-5 students who consistently practice responsible, good citizenship behavior at school. The following students have earned their Lincoln Park Lion Leaders wristbands:
Emilio H. Remember I. Mariela U. Angelina N. Ree L. Tessa D. Dickchya C. Erblin V. Aisha D. Kylla S. Karina N. Rachel K. Issac R. Tran D. Ella B. Payton E. Students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade have been taking a test that is intended to measure their achievement in the areas of reading and math. It is important that students and families take the test seriously and do all they can to be prepared. Here are some helpful hints for parents:
• Make sure your child gets plenty of sleep each night.
• A healthy breakfast is a must for good brain power.
• Discuss the test with your child to ease their anxiety. Let them know that you know they will not be able to answer every question perfectly, but that they should try their best. Thank you for your support in making the testing process a positive one for your child.
