SAMUELS ELEMENTARY WINS ANOTHER GRANT Big congratulations to Samuels Elementary and Pallas Quist for the $73766 grant fromGreat Outdoors Colorado (GoCo) to build a nature-themed playground

The school will create a place for students to climb play and connect with nature by building atrailhead and path with native grass plants and wildflowers The project also includes possibleeducational signage birdhouses and an in-ground compass rose design

This project will see the vision of Project Citizen which began in 2015 for fifth-grade students atSamuels to fruition A previous GoCo grant helped the school build a community garden in 2016and the latest grant will bring the final piece of Project Citizen to life Samuels hopes to become aleader within Denver Public Schools for embracing outdoor learning as a critical part of studentsrsquoeducation and lives

Samuels is still working to raise more funds so that all of thespecialty STEM features desired can also be incorporated If youdlike to support the school please send donations to Samuels PTA(3985 S Vincennes Ct Denver CO 80237) with Lot B in the memoline

SAMUELS ELEMENTARY WINS ANOTHER GRANT Big congratulations to Samuels Elementary and Pallas Quist for the $73766 grant fromGreat Outdoors Colorado (GoCo) to build a nature-themed playground

The school will create a place for students to climb play and connect with nature by building atrailhead and path with native grass plants and wildflowers The project also includes possibleeducational signage birdhouses and an in-ground compass rose design

This project will see the vision of Project Citizen which began in 2015 for fifth-grade students atSamuels to fruition A previous GoCo grant helped the school build a community garden in 2016and the latest grant will bring the final piece of Project Citizen to life Samuels hopes to become aleader within Denver Public Schools for embracing outdoor learning as a critical part of studentsrsquoeducation and lives
