APRIL PRAYER FOCUS

APRIL 2017 PRAYER FOCUS

YOUNG PEOPLE (from *birth to adulthood) Scripture references: Gen.1 teaches how God spoke what He desired into exist-ence. Notice verses 26- 28. He spoke that He was going to create man in “our im-age”; He created male and female; He told them to “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it”. God gave the male and female the authority to produce children. God gave parents to children and children to parents (not to the village). Seeing(reading) how God spoke what He desired, we will follow His example and speak our desires for our children. Our confessions(desires) are what God has said concerning our children based on the scriptures listed here (partial Listing). Ex. 20:2; Deut.5:16; Ps.127:3-5; Prov.23:22; Isa.54:13,17; Eph.6:1-3. Confessions over children: Great is the peace of my children; my children are a heritage of the Lord; my sons and daughters are not given to another people; Divine-ly protected; have knowledge and wisdom from God; divine direction for their lives; will fulfill God’s plans and purposes; obedient to parents and authority; make wise decisions and right choices; honor their parents; no weapon formed against them shall prosper; have sound minds; have divine health; blessed coming and going, min-istering angels are all around them; not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Decrees over children: My children will not be entangled, involved or fall prey to, gangs, cults, witchcraft, unhealthy and ungodly habits, oppression/depression, rejec-tion, intimidation; religious ideas; mental disorders and corrupt friends.

GREAT IS THE PEACE OF MY CHILDREN. JESUS IS LORD OVER MY CHIL-DREN!!!! Make these confessions personal by using your child/children’s name/names. Allow Holy Spirit to minister to you concerning your seed/fruit. PARENTS: You might want to review these scriptures reference your/our role as parents. We (parents) are who God entrusted children to. Proverbs19:18; 22:6,15a; 23:13a; 29:15b; Eph.6:4. * Parents who are child bearing

age, as soon as conception takes place, begin speaking God’s Word over your child.

APRIL SECURITY TIPS

The 8 Common Symptoms of Norovirus Day care centers, nursing homes, cruise ships, and hospitals—they’re all prime environments for Norovirus. This infectious, gastrointestinal illness can rip its way through close, crowded quarters like these, wreaking havoc on the residents’ digestive systems, and leaving them dangerously dehydrated due to diarrhea, lack of appetite, and vomiting, within a mere 24 hour period.

Norovirus symptoms hit those with low immunities the worst, such as infants, seniors, and those with unrelated illnesses. The symptoms might seem like a violent flu, lasting over a few days before emergency medical attention is required. This highly contagious infection spreads quickly through contact with an infected person.

Here are the most common symptoms of the nasty Norovirus:

1. Nausea & Vomiting—The nausea and vomiting associated with Norovirus strikes very suddenly, typically within 12-hours of contamination, and dehydration is com-mon when you’re vomiting for a period of 1 to 3 days. Luckily, once the 3 days are up, patients are usually past the contagious stage. 2. Fever & Chills—A rather high fever, which can reach temperatures of over 100.4-degrees Fahrenheit, will often accompany Norovirus. You will experience waves of night sweats followed by cold chills. 3. Migraines—Because of the dehydrating effects of Norovirus, it’s no wonder pa-tients end up with nasty, painful headaches. This is largely due to being so dehydrat-ed 4. Stomach Cramps—The act of repeated vomiting can make anyone, well, sick to their stomach. It’s true; the abdominal muscles can become so sore from vomiting and the gastrointestinal system so infected that digesting even light broth or tea causes painful stomach cramps 5. Sore Muscles—Painfully, achy muscles are a common stomach flu symptom. However, Norovirus originates in the gastrointestinal system and often causes aching limbs, especially the arms and legs 6. Urine Changes—Norovirus really robs the body of vital hydration. And lack of water will produce urine that’s dark in color because it’s so concentrated (lacking water). This will also result in only producing small amounts of urine each day as you replenish your body’s hydration levels. 7. Dry, Parched Mouth—Mild dehydration is common during a Norovirus infection, which is why hydration—with water, herbal teas, and drinks containing electrolytes—is vital for the very young and the elderly who don’t have strong immune systems 8. Increased Heart Rate—A rapid heartbeat may indicate severe levels of dehydra-tion after a few days with Norovirus infection. If you suspect you or a loved one is

dangerously dehydrated, seek medical attention immediately.

**Handwashing and using hand sanitizer liberally will help but if you are sick, stay home to avoid infecting others.

Andrew Newton, Chief Security Officer
