Easter ActivitiesAs Easter Sunday approaches you’ll notice a spirit of excitement building at Mt. Carmel Community! The Morning Glories from Benton First Baptist will kick off the Easter season by presenting their spring concert on April 5. Have some fun with Chick Tac Toe on Friday, the 7th! Easter week we’ll enjoy the Bunny Hop Game, a visit from Small Blessings Preschool, and Easter Basket Bingo. Join us on the morning of Good Friday at “Faith & Friends” as we look at the greatest event of all time - the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. In the afternoon go back in time with us in the Theater as we watch The Jesus Film, which depicts the Easter story. Be sure to join our Easter Sunday worship service, led by Kim Hammer, in the dining room.

April HighlightsWe have some new entertainers on the calendar this month along with our faithful groups who sing for us on a monthly basis. Jan and Amy, with Big Rock Music & Puppetry, will be our guests at 6:00 on the 4th. Geyer Springs First Baptist Church will be joining us for an “Old Time Sing-a-Long” on April 18. Another new group to Mt. Carmel Community, The Lightfoot Family Band, will be performing American old time and folk tunes, dustbowl ballads, gospel music, and celtic songs on the morning of the 26th. Everyone is invited to join us for a special Piano Recital before dinner on April 27.

At Mt. Carmel Community, we love our volunteers! We will be hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon for all of our volunteers on Tuesday, April 18.

We’ll be going out to lunch at Colton’s Steak House on Wednesday, April 19. Our monthly out to lunch trips always promise lots of fun, sweet fellowship, and good food!

Our Bingo Store will be held at a new time, 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, the 25th.

Faith MattersFaith is a big part of who we are at Mt. Carmel Community. We have many opportunities for Bible study and fellowship every month. Each Sunday afternoon a volunteer from the community leads in worship. Indian Springs Baptist Church offers a Fellowship and Bible Study hour every other Monday. On Thursday mornings a class led by Ginger Buck has been studying the New Testament for over a year now, and this month will begin a study of the book Seamless, which shows how the whole Bible connects as one seamless thread. You are invited to come listen in and follow along in Bibles provided. Once a month on Friday, join us for “Faith & Friends,” which is a theme-related Bible talk about a variety of subjects, led by Ginger.
