Southern Gospel Music Died In 2016Gail Shelby (Eternal Vision) on January 1st at the age of 59.Boyce Flener (The Crossmen Quartet) on February 2nd at the age of 52.Buck Rambo (The Rambos) on February 21st at the age of 84.Ira Smith (The Dixie Echoes, The Blackwood Brothers, and Little Jimmy Taylor & The Premiers) on February 25th at the age of 77.

The First Featured Group Of The MonthThe first feature group of the month is Jeff Steinberg. He was born with what others would call Handicaps-he has NO arms or hands, and malformed legs-he wasnt you to know that God has an unique design for your life! He knows. This Tiny Giant, at 4'6” tall, has a most unique “Quit focusing on the Handicap and start appreciating the Gift.” For more than 42 years he has given concerts across the globe, delivering his very special message that “God uses the least likely person to accomplish the most extra ordinary thing, in a most unique way.” In his distinctive style, using humor and song, he shows us that each person is wonderfully created to be “Awesome and wonderfull” with potential they never even dreamed possible. The Second Featured Group Of The MonthThe second featured group of the month is The Gaskills. They are a high-energy Bluegrass band that delivers a powerful performance with smooth, tight harmonies and driving instrumentals-sure to inspireand bring a smile to each and every face! They originally traveled with all eight children, back in 2004, with parents Bob and Brenda looking after their schooling offstage and their real-life experiences onstage. Then Christy, John, and Shelley left the road. Today's Gaskill sound is tight and sweet with James, 24, playing the mandolin and singing lead and harmony; Peter, 22, playing banjo and guitar and singing lead/baritone; Timothy, 18, playing guitar and dobro and singing lead; and Joshua, 17, playing 'double' bass and singing tenor.
