Program Financial Status

Overview

Recovery School District:

The RSD has $417 million in open contracts for the capital program

after issuing $81 thousand in new contracts and $8.7 million in

change orders and amendments in April. In addition, the total

change orders to date, $8.3 million, account for approximately two

percent (2.5%) of the total open construction contracts. RSD

anticipates issuing approximately $2.4 million in construction contracts

and $36 thousand in professional service contracts/amendments in

May.

Orleans Parish School Board:

The OPSB has $50.3 million in open contracts for the capital program

after issuing no new contracts, change orders or amendments in

April. In addition, the total change orders to date, $840 thousand,

account for approximately three percent (2.88%) of the total open

construction contracts. OPSB anticipates issuing approximately $16

million construction contracts and professional service contracts in

May.

The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans has two large storm

drain lines running through the property that must be relocated

OPSB elected to relocate the drain lines back on property

Sewerage and Water Board approved the plan to

relocate the drain lines on OPSB’s property

Design is expected to be completed in June
