D. Del City High School Counselor Joy Ahmad, has been appointed for a one year term to the Southwestern Regional Council for College Board E. Del City High School Counselor Laressa Beliele, named Counselor of the Year for the Central Region of the Oklahoma Counseling Association and has now been nominated for the State Counselor of the Year. F. Del City High School band received the greatest honor at the Heritage Music Festival held in San Antonio, Texas – The Spirit of San Antonio Award. This award is presented to the school that best represents its community and state. G. Recipients of the 2008 State Superintendent Award for Arts Excellence: Anthony Errigo, Vocal Del City High School Jeramie Holman, Drama/Theatre Del City High School Brittany Thayer, Band Midwest City High School Kelsey Thayer, Band Midwest City High School H. Midwest City High School student Jess Eddy was selected as one of the top Scholar-Athletes in the State by the Oklahoma Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. Del Crest Middle School students for their work with Meals on Wheels L. Carl Albert High School Select Choir received straight Superior Ratings for performance and sight reading at the OSSAA State Choir Contest. Because they received Superior Ratings in both categories, they are 9-4A Sweepstakes Winners. M. Carl Albert High School Music Department received the OSSAA Academic Music Achievement Plaque for the student membership's high academic grade point average. N. Karen Jenkins, President of Education Support Employees Organization (ESPO) for Mid-Del Schools and 2008 President of Education Support Employees Organization for the State of Oklahoma, was elected to serve as the 2008 Secretary for the American Association of Classified School Employees (A.A.C.S.E.).

Total cost will be $129,671.06 to be paid from Mid- Del Technology Center Building Fund 21, Project 032, and General Fund 12, Project Code 421. B. Purchase of SMARTBoard Interactive Whiteboards and projectors from Video Reality for Carl Albert High School, Del City High School and Midwest City High School Visual Arts Programs and Country Estates Elementary. Total cost is $26,976.00 per sites to be paid by OKCMAPS Fund, Title I, Project 511, and Country Estates Elementary Instructional Fund 11, Project Code 003. C. Purchase of art furniture and audio visual equipment from various vendors for Carl Albert High School, Del City High School and Midwest City High School Visual Fine Arts Programs. Total cost is $50,551.60 to be paid from OKCMAPS Fund 24. D. Purchase of iMac computers from Apple Computer for Carl Albert High School, Del City High School and Midwest City High School Visual Fine Arts Programs. Total cost is $16,296.00 to be paid from OKCMAPS Fund.

A. Recommend approval of Thomas Sheet Metal for replacement of exhaust fans in the gymnasium at Schwartz Elementary in the amount of $9,786.00; to be paid from Bond Fund 31.

B. Recommend approval of Bentley Flooring for replacement carpet in the library at Monroney Middle School in the amount of $16,274.00; to be paid from Bond Fund 39.

C. Recommend approval of Gregory’s Sporting Goods for replacement of wall mats in the gymnasium at Parkview Elementary in the amount of $5,784.11; to be paid from Bond Fund 31. D. Recommend approval of Change Order #1 to remove damaged sheetrock, repair ceiling support and re-sheetrock. Tape, bed, and float new sheetrock. Texture with acoustics and paint to match ceiling at Carl Albert High School Auditorium in the amount of $1,854.00; to be paid from Building Fund 21, project 000.

E. Recommend approval of Crown Electric for new security lighting and installation of poles at Epperly Heights Elementary in the amount of $20,650.00 and Highland Park Elementary in the amount of $26,213.00 for a total cost of $46,863.00; to be paid from Bond Fund 31.

F. Recommend approval of Insignia Signs for materials and installation of new marquee at Townsend Elementary in the amount of $9,230.00; to be paid from Bond Fund 31. G. Recommend approval of R.Q.C. for the renovation of the front entrance including addition of a canopy and to expand parking area at Monroney Middle School in the amount of $220,500.00. Total cost of project with architect fees is $235,935.00. Funding for project is $42,406.00 from Bond Fund 31, with the balance of $193,529.00 to be paid from OCMAPS, pending approval of OCMAPS application.
