LITURGICAL MINISTERS ….. New schedules for May thru end of August are now being prepared. Call or email the office of dates you aren’t available.
Out and About The First Communion kids were in the hall on Tuesday for instruction. There seemed to be a hundred of them, though in fact there were only 30. It is amazing to me how Julie and her two bodyguards, Christina and Sandra, can keep the children attentive with a gentleness devoid of any threat. We had our first construction meeting today with our architect, John Bortolotti, the construction company Front Construction and our two parish liasons Gerry and Carmen. We are expecting construction to start the first week of May, and hopefully, if all things go as planned, to be completed by the end of September. The Triduum takes place after this report goes to press. Thanks to all the volunteers for stepping forward to help us celebrate the great liturgies. Happy Triduum, everyone. Happy Easter.

PROCLAIM THE RISEN CHRISTPROCLAIM THE RISEN CHRISTPROCLAIM THE RISEN CHRISTPROCLAIM THE RISEN CHRIST On Easter morning everything—the spring weather, the flowers, birds and butterflies, the people around us in their finery, the beautiful liturgy and music—everything seems to bear witness that Jesus Christ is risen today! Like the eyewitness accounts in today’s scriptures, the glorious and joyful life all around us helps us to believe the good news of the Resurrection and sing “Alleluia!” In the scriptures today we hear from Peter and Paul and John. All three speak with conviction about witnessing the resurrected Christ. John’s Gospel account includes Mary of Magdala, who also was privileged to witness the Resurrection and tell others the good news. On this glorious Easter Sunday can we ourselves give eyewitness accounts that Jesus Christ is risen today, alive and active in our lives? Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co., Inc.
