PREFACECandidates appearing for APPSC exams have significantly been increasing over the

years; however, the selection is officially limited to few candidates only. The reason behind

this is that the General Studies and Mental ability (i.e. Paper-I) forms play an important role

as the standardized part of the APPSC exam and it is essential to the candidate to give in the

best performance in the exam.

Hence, the very need made us bring this Manual to the aspirants. For the very first

time, in this book, we had systematically compiled and analysed all the previous papers of

APPSC-2012 segregating them into 9 constructive categories (General Science, General

Knowledge, Current Events, History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Mental ability and

Disaster Management), that do enable the students to understand the question pattern,

kind of questions from various subjects and how questions get to be repetitive in the exam.

Thus, it does give you a broad outline about how to read, what to read the General Studies

paper.

Note: An Answer Sheet (Model OMR Sheet) has been given at the end of this book in order

to practice the questions toward self assessment.
