Haute Qualit Super Market has planned to give 16 hours a day, 7 days a week
and 365 days a year services to the customers with timing from 10:00 am till02:00 am to facilitate its customers upto maximum level. In this way every
person related to any profession, can do the shopping according to his own
schedule.
Special Services
Haute Qualit Super Market is the only retailer in the city which is providing
home delivery services to its customers with very economical transaction
amount and without applying any distance condition. We have our ownmagazine Haute Qualit Savings which is published twice a month and 50,000
copies are distributed through the main news papers on Sundays and we will
include publicity material to encourage the people of the city to visit the mall.

Database
Haute Qualites database is the combination of 9 tables. All the records are
maintained on the monthly basis and the information linked with the past months
is adjusted in the records of current month as per suitable format. HauteQualitesdatabase has following nine tables:

Haute Qualit prepares forms for all the afore-mentioned queries while it
prepares reports according to the requirement of the information.
For the past few months, Haute Qualit has prepared report on the following:
Acquisition of Products in April Deduction of given amount of Charity from Employees' Salary Employees training needs according to high priority Quantity wise top 10 Products in each category Total, Avg, Max, Min Sales of each category
Tables
Products
In the table of products, a total of 50 items from 41 different products have been
shown. These items are represented in 10 different product categories along with
their unit price and quantity available for sales. Product ID is awarded to each
item on the basis of its category. Highest Product ID in any Product category
represents the earliest introduction of that item in the super market.
Staff details
In the staff details table, all the necessary details of employees have been
gathered. Every member of the staff is given a unique ID with EMP- been fixed.
Highest the Employee ID, oldest the association of employee with thesupermarket. Employees first and last name, along with the home address,
Contact number and gender are mentioned ahead of Employee ID.

Later on, a relationship has been created of Staff salary details (table) and
Employee development program (table) with Staff details table. This relationship
is reflected by showing Trainee IDand Salary ID in the Staff details table.
Staff Salary Details
In the Staff Salary details, a Salary ID designed with INC- (fixed) and then
employee ID number (for e.g., 01, 0250 ). Data type of Date of salary is
Date/Time and is usually the 5th
day of the month. Then, a total of outstanding
salary is shown as Basic salary. Basic salary is decided after analyzing Job
Description and Market wages rate. Allowances are shown in the 4th
field, which
represent Travel and Lunch. Deductions are done on the basis of employeesabsences, charity and late coming. On the excess of 4 leaves in one quarter a
penalty of two working days salary is charged. Other compensations are given
only to those employees, who have played a significant role in achieving targeted
objective. Staff Salary Details table is linked with Staff Details table (one -to-
many relationship).
Employee Development Program
A trainee ID is awarded to each employee on the basis of his Employee ID
number. For e.g., for EMP-01, a trainee ID, TRA-01 is chosen. TRA-is fixed. A
result of Training need Analysis or deficiencies in skills is shown in the Training
Needs Analysis field. A priority level and Training required fields show,
urgency of Training for employee. Training approach is decided on the basis of
cost analysis, If more people require training on one skill (e.g. selling skills), then
In-house approach (Default value) can be used. A deadline with data type ofDate/Time represents the time by which Training should be completed.

Customer
In the customer table all the records of customers regarding his personal details,
contact no. & addresses have been included. There are 9 field and 50 records of
the various customers of the 3 chosen companies. Later a query has beendesigned to show the various customers of P&G etc.Apart of this title name have
been include to show the ratio of male & female customers of the company and a
particular Customer ID is assigned to each customer for e.g 1001 is assigned to a
customer.
Inventory Transactions
The inventory transactions table shows the various transaction made by the
customers with references to each product category & the total sum of the
product purchased by the customers within a given period have been showed in
this table.
Order
An order id is awarded to each customer on the basis of the customer id and
product id with order date and order required date given by the customers have
been showed. Shipping details which includes ship city, ship state, through which
port shipping would be done.
Supplier Details
The supplier details table shows the different details of the suppliers of the
company.A supplier id is assigned to each supplier e.g SUPL-223 is assigned to a
supplier.

Queries
Acquisition of Products in April
In this query, Inventory Transactions table is used for fetching the data. This query
is showing a list of all the products which were acquired in the month of April. In
the second column, DatePart formula has been used to fetch months. Also, in the
criteria April has been mentioned.Customers Names starting with S or residents of Nazimabad
In this query, data has been extracted from Customers table. In the first column,
we merged first and last name of the customer and in the criteria we mentioned
S. In the second column, Address was listed down and in or field we entered
Like *Nazimabad*. Asteriks were used to fetch the name only with any data
before or after the area name. Then in last column, fax number was listed. We
also put a condition of listing down only those fax numbers which are greater
than 30,000 by adding >30000 in criteria field.
Customers of P&G Company
In this query, we have used Customers table. In the first column, customers first
and last name are merged. In the second column, Company name has been listed
down with condition of P&G by adding Like*P&G* in criteria field.
Deduction of given amount of Charity from Employees' Salary
In this query, two tables are used. From Staff Salary Details table, Staffs salary
details are extracted. From Staff Details Table, employees first and last names are
extracted and merged. Final salary is calculated by adding allowances to basic
salary and subtracting deduction. Charity is also subtracted which is variable (as
per stores policy) so everytime this query is run, a pop up box will appear and ask

a charity amount which could be different each time. Date of Salary is also
mentioned in this query.
Difference in minutes and hours between transactions
In this query, inventory Transactions table is used. Dates of transaction created
and transaction completed are mentioned. We have calculated difference in
minutes and hours during the transactions by using DateDiff formula.
Difference of minutes between Transaction started and completed
In this query, we have calculated the total difference of minutes of starting and
completing a transaction of each product.
Employees training needs according to high priority
In this query, Employee Development Program table and Staff Details table are
used. In the first column, employee first and last name are extracted and merged.
In the second, priority level of has been listed down with condition of high by
adding Like*high* in the criteria. In the last column, Training need analysis is
listed down.
Male employees who need training
In this query, Employee Development Program table and Staff Details table are
used. In the first column, employee first and last name are extracted and merged.
In the second column, training required is mentioned with the condition of yes,

therefore Yes is mentioned in criteria. In the third column, Gender is listed down
and Male is added in criteria.
Quantity wise top 10 Products in each category
In this query, Products table is used. We have listed down category of product in
first column while product names are listed down in second. We have listed down
Total quantity in third column and have counted it for the sum of all products to
analyze total quantity product wise.
Show all products from 40 to 100 unit price
In this query, Product table has been used. In the first column, Product names are
listed. In the second, Unit price are listed with condition of lying from 40 to 100 by
adding Between 40 and 100 in criteria.
Top 25 Products according to their Unit Prices
In this query, Order Details and Products table are used. In the first column,
product ID is listed down. In the second column, product names are listed and in
the third, Unit price are listed and total is done. And then we sorted third column
as descending and specified in the top bar given option as return that we want 25
only by listing down the options and selecting 25.
Total Products in given category
In this query, Products table is used. Category is listed down in first column while
Total Products are listed in second column. Count is used for calculating totalproducts

Total Value of Available Inventory Product Wise
In this query, Products table is used. In the first column, product name is
mentioned while in the second, total value available inventory is mentioned. We
multiplied quantity available with unit price to get the total value of availableinventory.
Total, Avg, Max, Min Sales of each category
In this query, Products table is used. In the first column, product name is
mentioned whereas total has been used to perform different tasks. In second
column, Products are listed down and count is done. In third column, Total unit
price is mentioned by multiplying unit price with quantity available. In the fourth
column, average unit price is mentioned by selecting Avg from drop down menu
shown in Total. In the fifth and sixth column, Maximum and Minimum of unit
price are listed by using drop down menu in Total.
Variable Increments in Employees' Salary
In this query, two tables are used. From Staff Salary Details table, Staffs salarydetails are extracted. From Staff Details Table, employees first and last names are
extracted and merged. Variable allowances, variable deduction and variable
compensation options are given which means everytime this query would be run,
system would ask for the value. Therefore, this query could be used as per stores
requirement and criteria of allowances, compensation and deductions.
FormsDifferent forms were made and needed both for the queries and the tables and
they are also used while making Switchboard.

Reports
Reports were made to get a clearer picture of the data in the queries. Reports
were made on the following needs:
1. All the products that were acquired by the super store in the month ofApril.
2. The final salary of employees after (variable) amount of charity is deductedfrom their pay.
3. The training need of the employees on high priority basis.4. All the products that were top 25 in terms of quantity in each category.5. The total, average, minimum and maximum sales in each category.
Switchboard
A switchboard is made with the help of Switchboard Manager. In its default page,
Tables, Queries, Reports and Exit Application are listed. If tables is selected, it list
down all the tables which we have made and we can further select table from the
list. If we select any particular table like customers, it will open the form we have
made of table customers. So, the command we have set while making
switchboards was to open form of all the queries, reports and tables we have
made so far. We have also given an option of going back to the main switchboardin second, third and fourth switch board. Also, macro is used to open the default
switchboard page on running of this file to give direct access to user and a good
graphical presentation of the work.
