CAMPO(Comprehensive Approaches in Multi-Dimensional Peace Operations)
1 week course in cooperation with Bundeswehr Command & Staff College.
Pilot course in 2011, courses in 2012, 2013
Participants from ZIF expert roster, police, armed forces, development experts, NGOs deployed or deployable to peace operations.
Elements: Input: Approaches to the Comprehensive Approach in Nations, international and regional organisations. Exercise: “Zoran Sea Crisis”.

VIKING 2011/2014 Joint planning and implementation of UN-mandated Chapter VII peace / crisis response operation in an unstable environment. 2.400+ troops from 30 nations; ca. 100 civilians (incl. police, NGOs).
ZIF contribution: 18 civilians (16 pool, 2 staff)

COMMON EFFORT (2011) Joint planning and implementation of a NATO stabilization mission in a failing-state-cum-failing-UN-mission-environment. 300 troops from 12 countries; 150 civilians. ZIF refrained from participation due to limited capacities. severe structural issue! Which NATO exercises have priority?
