Appt Urgency for Polyclinic Referrals

• Routine– Mostly handled by Contact Center staff unless no appointment

slots can be found (usually for Plastic / CTVS cases)

• Direct Access (NHG) & Fast Track (SingHealth)– Appointments that are deemed more urgent– Doctor to screen for TCU duration – Appointment to be given within TCU duration stated

No further action required after giving appointment in systemUNLESS appointment given is in short notice

TTSH Emergency Dept referral

• 3 types of referrals for all disciplines (CVM, CTVS, Plastic)

• Routine / Early / Urgent – HOT

• Routine ED Referrals handled by ED staff• Early or Urgent – HOT referrals to be screened by Dr

before making appt• Urgent – HOT appt to be faxed back to ED and recorded

in file
