ADMISSIONS Applicants are advised to read the brochure & general information carefully and comply with the given

instructions.

Applicants applying for reserve category must submit status claiming certificate from the competent

authorities only.

SEBC candidates (not belonging to the creamy layer certificate of the current year) must produce certificate

issued by the competent authorities only.

Reservations for SC/ST/SEBC/PHY.H/ Wards of Servicemen Ex- servicemen (Gujarat origin only) are asper the Gujarat government norms, laid down from time to time. Ex-servicemen of other states settled

in Gujarat and who produce domicile certificate of stay for 10 years or more are not eligible for

supernumerary seat (s), which are available for wards of ex- servicemen of Gujarat origin.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Qualifications to apply for admission to First Year of Bachelor of Architecture

(a) Applicants passing XII Standard (HSC) Higher Secondary Certificate Examination of Gujarat State (or its

equivalent) with Mathematics *** as compulsory subject securing a minimum aggregate score of 50% for all

subjects including practicals. As per Council of Architectures decision equivalent examination under Arts,

Commerce and other streams having nomenclature such as Business Mathematics or Statistics shall be

considered eligible for Admission.

Or

(b) Applicants from Gujarat having passed 10+2 pattern examination from CBSE or other boards with

Mathematics *** as compulsory subject securing a minimum aggregate score of 50% for all subjects including

practicals

Or

(c) Applicants from outside Gujarat having passed from any board equivalent to HSC Gujarat with Mathematics

*** as compulsory subject securing a minimum aggregate score of 50% for all subjects including practicalsOr

(d) 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central / State Governments with 50% marks in aggregate.

Or

(e) International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB), after 10 years of schooling with not less than 50% marks in aggregate

and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.

Or

(f) National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics

as compulsory subject of examination.

Or

(g) F.Y.B.Sc. Applicants (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects (only from any University in Gujarat State)

who have passed H.S.C. examination and have passed F.Y.B.Sc., the qualifying examination in single sitting

during Oct 2011 or March 2012 with at least 50% marks in the theory papers without ATKT as per the prevailing

State Government Norm . (Only two Seats are available at Department of Architecture,TheM S University,

Vadodara )

NOTE:

For SC, ST, and SEBC candidates the minimum eligible aggregate score is 45% in the above

said examinations.

Applicants awaiting results may apply; such applicants have to produce a certificate from the Principalof the school/college that he/she has appeared in the qualifying examination (any of the above) with

compulsory subject/s mentioned. Such applicants must submit the final mark sheet including rechecked

results and satisfy the minimum requirements by 4.00 p.m., 22nd June 2012, failing which their

candidature will not be considered and their names will be removed while displaying final merit

orders.

In all the cases the aggregate will be calculated based on all the subjects including languages,

optional & practical etc. Failure in any subject disqualifies the candidature.

(h) Those applicants who have less mark, than specified and have applied for rechecking / reassessment shallproduce the rechecked results by 4.00 p.m. 22nd June, 2012. Those who fail to obtain the requisite marks will

be rejected and their names removed while displaying the final merit list.

(i) Applicants having qualifications other than that shown in Paras (a) (b) (c) (d) (e) (f) & (g) above will have

to submit along with the application, an eligibility certificate stating that he /she Is eligible for admission

to first semester engineering course of a University in Gujarat if the required qualification is not from a

known board.

(j) Reservations of seats including seats for those from other states will be made as per the decisions of the

Gujarat Government. One seat each over and above the intake capacity is available for displaced students of

Jammu & Kashmir (J & K) in The M S University, Vadodara & CEPT University, Ahmedabad.

(k) All other conditions laid down for Engineering Admissions shall also apply where applicable.

(l) The Applicants must submit the self attested copies of the following documents. However, certificates in

original must be produced when admissions are offered:-

SSC or Equivalent Mark sheet.

HSC or Equivalent Mark sheet. Valid NATA Score

School Leaving Certificate / Migration Certificate / Transfer Certificate/Indian Pass Port to ascertain Indian

Nationality if born in any country other than India.

to claim Reservations candidates must produce status / appropriate certificate issued by the competent

authority only. Fraudulent production of any document(s) revealed at any stage disqualifies the

candidature.

Any Applicant who has already been given admission by the Central Admission Cell (Architecture) in any

of the previous years, in any of the Architecture Institutions, is not eligible to apply.

APTITUDE TEST SCHEMENational Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) score is mandatory for admission to First Year of Bachelor in

Architecture Program

Admission shall be subject to passing ofNational Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)conducted by the CoA.

The minimum passing score for NATA is 80 out of 200 for all categories of applicants.

There is no relaxation in the minimum passing score of NATA to any category of applicants.

NATA test can be given at your nearest NATA TEST Centre.

THE MERIT ORDERThe merit order will be prepared based on the valid NATA score and marks secured in the qualifying examination

in the ratio of 50:50

DISTRIBUTION OF SEATSDetailed Distribution of Seats will be announced at the time ofadmission counseling (13th/14th July 2012)

PAYMENT OF FEESOn announcement of the Merit List, successful applicants will be offered admission in the order of merit on

the date of admission. The applicants admitted shall pay the prescribed fees immediately at the place of counseling

to the representative of respective institution. The choice made is irrevocable.

Failure to produce required fees will result in withdrawal of admission & the same will be offered to the

next applicant on the merit.

SUBMISSION OF COMPLETE APPLICATION FORMSApplicant shall submit complete application form (which must contain):

(1) Hard copy of Filled application form (pages 1/10 to 4/10),

(2) NATA score card,

(3) All necessary documents (self attested),

(4) Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 350/- (non refundable) in favour of
