DEDICATED CONNECTORTO MS SHAREPOINT

In the corporate environment, MS SharePoint is well estab­lished as a central tool for information management. To use the convenient SharePoint feature set to its best advantage, corporate users need seamless integration of the Microsoft application with their multifunctional in­ and output systems.

Taking advantage of Konica Minolta’s bEST OpenAPI func­tionality, bEST Personal Share is completely integrated into the host device’s operating panel. It lets users send scanned documents directly to the Microsoft application without any detour via e­mail. At the same time, the bEST Personal Share

module provides interactive pulling and printing of docu­ments from SharePoint libraries – again directly from the MFP panel. The native connection between the MFP and SharePoint ensures that all changes made in SharePoint instantly appear on the MFP panel.

Employing bEST Personal Share, users benefit from effici­ent, direct scanning to and pull­printing from MSSharePoint; they can process and manage, distribute and deliver their scanned documents electronically and enjoy the advantage of close collaboration within MS SharePoint.

– Document routing & retrieval to/from SharePoint

libraries: With bEST Personal Share as the dedicated SharePoint connector for Konica Minolta devices, scans can be sent directly to SharePoint without a detour via e­mail. Simple routing of documents can be started from the MFP by searching and selecting the correct desti­nation inside SharePoint libraries by means of browsing through those libraries, from which users can directly print documents.

– Native connection between SharePoint and MFP panel: Users benefit from the synchronistic connection between the MFP and SharePoint: all changes made in SharePoint simultaneously appear on the MFP panel. This is based on the reliable connection via the Share­Point API and bEST OpenAPI. This tie­in requires no extra kit or a web browser.

– Secure SharePoint access from MFP: With SharePoint user authentication required at the device panel, user access can be limited to specific libraries or folders. Sensitive documents and critical information can be safeguarded with secure encryption and permission controls based on user authentication. Confidential data and other information can be shared right from the MFP panel. Documents stored in SharePoint libraries can be retrieved directly from the MFP without requiring a PC or laptop. This enables secure sharing of confidential information via the MFP panel.

Document processing – Scanning options: While scanning, users benefit from a

preview of the scanned documents that can be called up on the MFP panel. This function of the MFP offers page removal options and the possibility to change document file settings (file format, file name) after the document capturing process.

– Print options – print document preview & network printing: Users can preview and directly print docu­ments from SharePoint libraries via the MFP panel (pull­printing). For easy identification of documents a thumbnail preview is available on the MFP panel.

Content management – Collaboration within SharePoint: With bEST Personal

Share, an organisation can ensure that content man­agement strategies are being embedded in the MFP with the MS SharePoint connection. The user group and team structures and their access to MS SharePoint are simultaneously reflected on the MFP panel, as scans are uploaded to SharePoint directly from the MFP.
