The deadline for submissions is 13th July 2016

JudgingEach application will be scored by a team of sector experts from our sponsors, partners and internal staff of CURAD on the basis of (1) innovation, (2) competitiveness of your idea or business case, (3) depth of understanding of your business environment, (4) linkages to perceived gaps in the market, (5) projected number of jobs to be created, and (6) need for funding or other prize support or assistance to make the business start-up or expansion possible.

Judges will identify a shortlist of the five best applications per category or sector. Short-listed applicants will be invited to an optional presentation skills training session one week prior to the judging. We strongly encourage everyone on the short-list to attend one of the sessions offered. Shortlisted applicants will go on to participate in a panel-judging event on the 02nd Sept, 2016.

Each participant will be required to present a seven-minute “pitch” to a panel of judges. Judges will use this opportunity to determine how serious you are about your business idea and will evaluate the merits of your case. The final decision regarding the winners in each of the categories will be announced on the 25th of September 2016 at the Final Gala Event.

Good luck!
