I decided to apply TRIZ methods TO SOLVE the

problem of a dirty rear view camera.

• The objective was to keep the lens clean for

proper function. TRIZ software was used to

generate a simple problem diagram.

One operator suggested: Try to neutralize undesired adhesion

by applying a countering effect.

• Using the Ideation Innovation WorkBench

Software with the diagram pointed to other

operators such as vibration, hydrophobic

coating and heat could be used to clean a

solid.

Birth of an Invention

The excitement began to flow realizing an invention was in the making.

An invention disclosure was submitted and a patent application filed.
