    Application of

    Gardeners Theory of

    Multiple Intellegence.

    Bodily-Kinesthetic-

the use of the body parts

to solve problems or tomake things.

What is Gardeners Theory of Multiple

Intelligence"we are all able to know the world through language, logical-

mathematical analysis, spatial representation, musical thinking,

the use of the body to solve problems or to make things, an

understanding of other individuals, and an understanding of

ourselves. Where individuals differ is in the strength of these

intelligences - the so-called profile of intelligences and in the

ways in which such intelligences are invoked and combined tocarry out different tasks, solve diverse problems, and progress in

    various domains. -Howard Gardener, 1991-

    Learning through movement and

    dance.

Use the body effectively, like a dancer or a surgeon. Keen sense

    (feel interesting) of body awareness.

They like movement, making things, touching. They

communicate well through body language and be taught through

physical activity, hands-on learning, acting out, role playing.

Tools include equipment and real objects.

    Respiration Process

One of the examples of Bodily-Kinesthetic is the respiration

process. Students can easily learning through the movement of

    their body.

What is respiration process?Respiration is a process at which the oxygen gas is inhale into

the body and release carbon dioxide to surrounding.

Inhalation.1. Inhalation is the process at which the oxygen is sucked into the

    lung.

    2. The size of lung is increased.

    3. The diaphragm is curved downward (contract).4. The volume of air is increased inside the lungs.

    5. Rib cage is move upward and outwards.

    6. Pressure inside the lung decrease.

Exhalation.1. Exhalation is the process at which the Carbon Dioxide is

    release to the surrounding.

    2. The size of lung decreased.

    3. The diaphragm is curved upward (relax).4. The volume of air decreased inside the lungs.

    5. Rib cage is moves downwards and inwards.

Activity 1 :1. All students need to stand up.

    2. Students are asked to inhale and exhale several times.

    3. They have to observe the physical changes that happen to themwhile they are inhaling and exhaling.

    4. They are asked to repeat the steps several times.

    Strength of the children with

body-kinesthetic intelligence.1. They respond very well to physical stimulus.

    2. They have excellent physical skills.

    3. Their bodies have great flexibilty and agility (ketangkasan).

    4. They tend to move around (cannot sit still in one place).

    Helping childrens with bodily-

kinesthetic intelligence.1. Make them act out learning as much as possible.

    2. Help them more remember what they have learn with

gesturing their hands, body parts, miming and etc.

    3. Give them a stimulating environment.

    4. Give them access to a diverse set of materials that they use to

    create and experimental.

    Advantages of body-kinesthetic

learning : Students will have good-sense of balanced and eye-coordination.

Able to remember the process and information easily.

The teaching and learning process will be interactive.

Through movements it facilitates the cognition.

Students becomes more active as their body parts takes place

    during the activity.
