1. Introduction These Application Notes describe a compliance tested configuration to verify interoperability

between Datapulse™ Progression Enterprise Release 2.0 and Avaya Communication Server

1000E (CS1000E) R7.5. Datapulse’s Progression Enterprise application suite is installed on a

Microsoft™ Windows 2008 Server / PC and provides services, such as those listed here, to all

2. General Test Approach and Test Results All tests were manual tests and covered the following the features of Progression Enterprise that

are listed below. All tests passed with the exception of those highlighted in Section 2.2 Test

Results. The general test approach was to verify the following:

Call handling by Avaya Deskphones that have Progression Enterprise enabled

Slideshow operation and use of call button

Directory search / phone dialing

Broadcast alerts from Progression Enterprise Web Utility

Supervisor pages, messages sending and response

Voice paging to groups of Deskphones

RSS Intrafeeds on Deskphones

2.1. Interoperability Compliance Testing

This interoperability compliance test covered feature functionality and serviceability. Feature

functionality testing focused on verifying that Progression Enterprise could successfully function

as a service provider to various CS1000E Deskphone users. The following features were selected

as part of the compliance testing:

Detection of various Avaya Deskphones by Progression Enterprise software

Call handling by Avaya Deskphones that have Progression Enterprise enabled

Slideshow operation and use of a call button that exists within the slideshow

2.2. Test results

The testing of Progression Enterprise 2.0 with CS1000E R7.5 was successful. The following

observations were made during testing. The Slideshow application component of Datapulse

Progression Enterprise did not start on the Avaya i2007 Deskphone after a set period of phone

inactivity. This test case fails as a result of an issue with i2007 firmware. A case has been opened

and the next version of firmware, which includes UNIStim 5.2, is targeted to include the fix.

2.3. Support

Technical support for the Avaya products can be obtained from Avaya. See the support link at
