-Monitoring the provided activities in tuberculosis family foci (standard questionnaire)-Evaluation of the effectiveness of rotavirus vaccine in Republic of Moldova (evaluation tool)-Electronic surveillance and control of infectious diseases (standard protocol) -Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) (standard questionnaire, data base management)

Aim: to monitor the implemented activities by these three involved parts

Evaluation of the effectiveness of rotavirus vaccine in the Republic of

Moldova

The purpose: to evaluate the effectiveness of vaccination against rotavirus infection included in the National Immunization Program for 2011-2015, approved by Government Decision № 1192 from 23.12.2010.

Objectives: Case-control study •determine the effectiveness of vaccination against rotavirus infection in the context of the implementation of the national immunization schedule;•determine the effectiveness of vaccination in specific situations (deviations from the vaccination schedule);•determine the effectiveness of vaccination in the context of monitoring the rotavirus circulating strains (genotypes).

Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) (I)

Population based survey •Data collection on base of standard questionnaire in order to provide reliable information related health status of children, women and men population, other aspects regarding education, child social protection, HIV/AIDS prevention, access to health services, etc.•the last 2 studies Demographic and Health Survey was conducted in Moldova in :-2000

Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) (II)

Results MICS-4 will provide comparable data to the situation in the past 10 years, providing a valuable support in developing policies and strategies for health, education and welfare of families and children in Moldova.

Electronic surveillance and control of infectious diseases (I)

Routine surveillance – using information technology

Is a continuous data collection network on communicable diseases and public health events, allowing: monitoring, analysis and evaluation of the epidemiological situation in the country

Electronic surveillance and control of infectious diseases (II)

Information System (IS) allows the integration of real-time demographic data, clinical, epidemiological, laboratory, generate alerts based on the significance of the event, (No cases of the disease in time, population group and territory).

Basic functions and monitoring of communicable diseases of public health

- Zoonoses in animals that are dangerous to humans

Postgraduate studies in Public Health provides knowledge and practical skills for participation in population-based, case-control, studies to evaluate the effectiveness of public health measures, surveillance and control of infectious diseases etc..
