1. ExistingrulesandadmissionrequirementsassetoutintheannexedADMISSIONPOLICYmustbeendorsed withasignaturebytheparent/guardian.2. LanguageoflearningandteachingwillonlybeEnglishHomeLanguageassetoutintheannexed LANGUAGEPOLICY.ThemediumoftuitionofthemajorityoflearnersofTruidaKestellSchoolisAfrikaans. LearnerswillonlybetaughtinAfrikaansand/orEnglish.Teachingwillbedoneinparallelmediumon conditionthatthenecessaryfacilitiesareavailable.3. Admissionpergradewillbelimitedtothenumberoflearnerstheschoolcanaccommodate(thirty(30)per class).Thereexistsonlyone(1)Englishclasspergrade.4. Age:Theageofthelearnersmustcorrespondwiththeaverageageofthegrade.Preferencewillbegiven to Grade 1 learners who are six years of age on the date of intake.5. TheethosofTruidaKestellmustbemaintainedandenhanced.TruidaKestellSchoolisaChristian institution,whichisacceptedbyallassuch.6. Thestandardofeducationwillatalltimesbemaintainedatthelevelithasbeeninthepast.Nolearner will,forwhateverreason,receivethebenefitoforhavetherighttoalowerstandardofeducation.7. Applicantswillbeexpectedtoacquirethenecessarymaterialforacademicsubjects,aswellassport equipmentforextramuralactivities,attheirownexpense.8. Theschoolacceptsnoresponsibilityforanyinjuriesand/ordamagessuffered,irrespectiveofthecause thereof,bylearnersoftheschool.Seesection60oftheSASchoolsAct,No84of1996,asamended.9. TruidaKestellSchoolregardsnospecificschoolasaFeederschoolofTruidaKestell.AdmissiontoTruida Kestellwillundernocircumstancesguaranteeadmissiontoaspecifichighschooloranyotherschool,and/ or the school’s hostel.10. Theacademicanddisciplinaryrecordofalearnerwillbeofparamountimportance.11. Learnersmustbeinvolvedinextramuralactivities.12. AdmissionofNonCitizenswillonlybeallowedinaccordancewiththeprescribedregulation.13. AssoonasyourchildisadmittedtoTruidaKestellSchool,anamountofR1200.00ispayableimmediately attheoffice,inorderforustocreateanaccount.Thiswillbeapartpaymentoftheprescribedschoolfees for2020.(Example2020:R11800Gr1–7peryear,prescribedbooksexcluded.)Schoolfeesfor2021willbe determinedinamanagementboardmeetinginOctober. Weurgentlyneedtobringthefollowingtoyourattention:Foryourconveniencetherearethree(3)options available: Option 1Aonce-offpaymentonorbeforetheendofFebruarywitha5%discount Option 210equalmonthlypaymentsinadvancefromJanuarytoOctober Option 3 4 equal quarterly payments on the FIRST school day of every new term.
