PROJECT DESCRIPTIONProvide clear description of the following:
Project ObjectivesA concise statement of the aims of the project in outcome terms should be provided. Particular note should be made of the criteria under Section 1.3 of the Funding Guidelines
Work being done by other organizations on the research topicIndicate what work, if any, has been already undertaken on your project topic. List project titles and funding organizations for currently funded projects.
Industry Significance (Not to exceed one page)A description of the likely benefits to the South Australian grains industry that will arise from the project, preferably in quantitative terms.
Research Proposal (Not to exceed three pages)Typically, the Research Proposal should include a background to the research endeavor and briefly outline the proposed activities and methodologies to be used in achieving the Project Objectives. Applicants should indicate any abnormal risks and how they will be managed.
GRDC FundingAre currently receiving funding from GRDC for or do you intend to approach GRDC for funding from their current budget? Provide details (project codes or status of applications).
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI)The Research Proposal must provide at least 2 (but no more than 4) KPI’s per year. Each KPI must be measurable and is a significant achievement against which SAGIT will assess the progress of the project

COMMUNICATION OF RESULTSA concise statement describing the proposed path to market strategy for communicating the results of the project to the grains industry. This should include, were appropriate, the likely barriers to adoption of the results and how the outcomes will be measured in terms of practice change by the target audience. Note that SAGIT may directly extend information from Progress or Final reports to growers.
