understandable to the non-scientific members of the British Lung Foundation Research Committee and British Lung Foundation Board of Trustees.

Considerable attention should be given to this section. The summary should clearly set out the rationale for the study, the methods to be used, and the anticipated benefits of the research to people with lung disease.
