ADS-Lite-A OverviewThe ADS Lite-A manages the collection and presentationof large amounts of trend data, event messages,operator transactions, and system configurationdata. As Site Director, the ADS-Lite-A provides securecommunication to a maximum of four network ofengines from the following models: the NAE45-Lite,SNE110L and NIE29/NIE39/NIE49.The ADS-Lite-A supports robust features and capabilitiesthat continue to position the Metasys system as theleading building automation system in the industry,including:• Fault detection: identifies and lists building system-

related faults in order of severity to help operatorsquickly fix issues and avoid equipment issues, energywaste, and comfort complaints.

• Fault triage: is an add-on to fault detection thatprovides fault duration, occurrence information, andcorrective action recommendations to improve faultprioritization that assists less experienced buildingoperators with problem solving.

• Building Network tree allows for faster deliveryof the Metasys User Interface (UI) by enabling itsdeployment prior to the spaces and equipmentconfiguration process. It also provides a familiarnavigation experience for Metasys operators whohave previous experience using the All Items tree ofthe Site Management Portal.

• Advanced Search and Reporting in the MetasysUI allows Metasys operators to find and reporton operational data and make bulk commands torestore order more quickly. The Advanced Searchand Reporting feature provides Metasys usersthe ability to quickly search Metasys objects byBuilding Network, equipment, equipment type, orspace.

• Custom Dashboards for the Metasys UserInterface. Custom dashboards enable Metasys UIdesigners to create dashboards that provide themost relevant and critical information to Metasysoperators for enhanced productivity and createsan experience that mimics users operationalstyles for ease of use.

• Graphics Custom Behaviors provide Metasys UIdesigners the flexibility to use custom symbolsthat are required for their individual building orcampus needs or their local standards.

• Trend widget updates allow users to identifypatterns including outliers, using an intuitivecandlestick chart that displays min, max, andaverages.

• Cyber Health Dashboard provides a Metasysadministrator with a centralized view of potentialsecurity-related issues or system issues which aredetectable by an ADS-LiteADS/ADXOAS, but whichmay not surface as part of general system alarms.

• User Management facilitates the creation andmanagement of users and their roles, category-based permissions, and privileges directly inMetasys UI Online, without the need to installsoftware on client machines.

• Historical data management, including an ODBC-compliant database package for storage of trenddata, event messages, operator transactions, andsystem configuration data.

• RESTful APIs: the Metasys API provides easyaccess for you to pull raw data from the serverinto your processing and analytic mechanisms,such as PowerBI® and Tableau®, and supportsboth historical data fetching and gatheringinformation about the site and all of its childelements. Additionally, the new MetasysMonitoring and Commanding API enablesreading, writing, and commanding of one ormore Metasys objects and properties to providea secure and cost-effective way to bi-directionallyintegrate with third party applications

Secure, encrypted communication

Protects the system from unauthorized users andcomputer hackers with the implementation ofthe Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS)application protocol and Transport Layer Security(TLS 1.2) to encrypt communications between theADS-Lite-A, network engines, and clients.

Web-based user interface

Allows you to access system data from anysupported web browser device connected to thenetwork, including remote users connected by anInternet Service Provider (ISP).

UI support for five users

Allows up to five users to access the ADS-Lite-A UI atone time.

Support for up to four engines

Enables flexibility and scalability on your network.

Support for MS/TP Bus, BACnet Protocol, andThird-Party Communication

Allows you to leverage standard communicationformats on your network: MS/TP and BACnet/IPcommunication to third-party devices, and third-party communication with the SNE110L and NIE29/NIE39/NIE49.

Support for the Language Installation Program(LIP)

Installs language resources and makes the neededconfiguration changes so that the ADS-Lite-A systemsupports one or more locales.
