Application for Banner Display Permit Application for Banner Display Permit EMAIL: APPLICANT NAME : ORANISATION NAME: PHONE: PURPOSE OF DISPLAY: EVENT START DATE: DISPLAY TIME PERIOD: Display period is approximately 10 days prior to the start of your event, duration of the event and will come down 1 day after the end date of your event. Additional display time, up to a maximum of 4 weeks will be considered in connection with major events, festivals or campaigns. However due to the popularity of the Todd Mall banner space, display time periods will be at the discretion of the council delegate, as with all other banner display areas listed below. LOCATION: SOUTH ENTRANCE TODD MALL: The Alice Springs Town Council will install and remove the banner. The applicant must drop the banner off the Civic Centre at 93 Todd Street and collect the banner within 7 days of removal or it will be disposed of. Maximum banner length is 12 metres, maximum height 1 metre. The banner must have 5 metres of rope on each corner and wind-holes with steel/brass eyelets (no plastic eyelets) along the banner. CORNER LARAPINTA DRIVE/STUART HIGHWAY: The applicant will install and remove the banner. Maximum banner length is 3.8 metres, maximum height 1.3 metres. GAP ROAD: The applicant's contractor will install and remove the banner. Maximum banner length 11 metres, maximum height 1.5 metres. The banner must have 2 metres of rope on each corner and wind-holes with steel/brass eyelets (no plastic eyelets) along the banner. BARRETT DRIVE LIGHT POLES (27 available) LEICHARDT TERRACE LIGHT POLES (2 available) WILLS TERRACE LIGHT POLES (8 available): Please specify how many light poles your require at each location. Maximum width 1 metre, maximum height 3 metres. 7.5 cm sleeve/hem at top of banner is required and 3 reinforced eyelets for ties on one side of the banner. For GAP ROAD and LIGHT POLES, contractors must be used. Contractors are not required to have traffic management plan for short term works of 15 minutes or less but must use signs or barriers to make the area safe. Application for banner space must be received no later than 2 weeks prior to your event. CBD: Banner spots are available on Parsons Street, Gregory Terrace, Todd Street and Wills Terrace. Costs are $3885 which includes the external manufacture of 25 banners, use of the system for up to 4 weeks and installation and removal of banners by Council. Banner art works needs to be recieved at least FIVE WEEKS before the booking date. Contact Council for banner specifications. Application for Banner Display Permit

Conditions

• For CORNER LARAPINTA DRIVE/STUART HIGHWAY, GAP ROAD & LIGHT POLES: if the banner falls down, it is the applicant's responsibility to have it put up again (or removed).

• For CBD banners: Once removed it will be the responsibility of the hirer to collect, store and maintain the banners.

• For CBD banners: All fees to be paid in advance on approval of the art works by the Alice Springs Town Council and prior to the manufacturing of the banners.

• Comply with the reasonable and all lawful directions of an Authorised Officer of the Council or Police Officer. Keep the permit to hand for inspection by any Authorised Officer, or Police Officer.

• The permit holder and all associated person shall indemnify, and keep the Alice Springs Town Council indemnified, against any and all actions, claims, demands, losses, damages, costs and expenses arising from or out of the activity and or equipment pursuant to this permit. Should the applicant's banner be stolen, the Alice Springs Town Council is not liable.

• The permit holder must adhere to Alice Springs (Management of Public Places) By-Laws 2009
