SECTION1: APP SETUP MostoftheappsetupforAppleWatchisdonefromyouriPhonebuttherearestillafewsetupoptionsthatwerecommendyougothroughbeforeyoustartusingtheapp.
The“MORE”tabcontainsgeneralinformationthatwillhelpyougetstarted.
Forinstance,itisveryimportanttonotethatAppleWatchonlyallowsoneactiveworkoutsessionatatime.Thismeansthatitisnotpossibletotrackyourworkoutwithtwoappssimultaneously.Moreover,duetotechnologylimitations,itisnotcurrentlypossibletostreamyourheartrateinreal-timetoyouriPhone.Whenthisbecomespossible,itwillbeaddedtotheapp.
1.1 Membership Youcandoublecheckthatyouhaveapromembershiporifyou’reusingthetrialversionbytappingonthe“MEMBERSHIP”option.NOTE:Ifyou’vepurchasedapromembershipanditsaysthatyoustillhavethetrialversiononAppleWatch,it’smostlikelybecauseyouneedtosyncyoursettingsfromiPhonetoAppleWatch.
TosyncaMotiFITappsettingchangefromiPhonetoAppleWatch,pleasefollowthesesimplesteps.

AfteryouhavesavedaworkoutdoneonAppleWatch,acopyshouldbesenttoyourphonetobesavedintheMotiFITdatabase.However,itissometimespossiblethattheiPhonedoesnotrecognizethesavedworkout.
NOTE:Ifaworkoutdoesnotautomaticallysynctoyourphone,pleasetrythefollowing.

1.4 Operation Modes MotiFITonAppleWatchhastwobasicmodesofoperation(ACTIVEWATCHMODEandPASSIVEWATCHMODE).
1.4.1 Active Watch Mode
MotiFITenters“ACTIVEWATCHMODE”whentheworkoutisstarteddirectlyonAppleWatch.Inthismode,MotiFITrunsnativelyonAppleWatchandnoconnectiontothehostiPhoneisrequired.Theheartrateisreaddirectlyfromthewatchsensor.OPTIONAL:ItispossibletopairanexternalBluetoothheartratemonitor(PolarH7,WahooTICKRorScoscheRhythm+)directlywithAppleWatch.ItisrecommendedtoturnoffyouriPhone'sBluetoothradioandthengotoSETTINGS>BLUETOOTHonAppleWatchinordertopairtheBluetoothheartratesensorwithAppleWatch.
1.4.2 Passive Watch Mode MotiFITenters“PASSIVEWATCHMODE”whentheworkoutisstartedontheiPhone.Inthismode,anexternalBluetoothheartratemonitorlikeaPolarH7,WahooTICKRorScoscheRhythm+needstobepairedwithyouriPhonetoprovideMotiFITwithheartratesamples.AppleWatchsimplymirrorstheinformationgatheredbyMotiFITrunningonyouriPhoneinthismode.
1.5 Keeping Your App Active AppleWatchautomaticallyturnsoffitsscreentoconservebatterypower.Therefore,it'snotpossibletokeepthescreenonforthefulldurationofyourworkout.Thescreenwillturnonwheneveritdetectsthatyouraiseyourwristorwhenyoutapthescreenoroneofthebuttons.Whenthescreenturnson,ifyouhaveanactiveworkoutsessionitwillautomaticallydisplaytheMotiFITapp.TIP:Doubletappingthedigitalcrown,willreopenMotiFITifyouhappentoexitoutofitaccidentally.

1.6 Calibrating Your Apple Watch ItispossibletomeasureyourworkoutmetricswithoutaconnectiontoyouriPhonewhentheappisstartedin“ACTIVEMODE”.Thereareseveralthingsthatyoucandotoimprovetheaccuracyofthesereadings.
First,youcancalibrateyourAppleWatchtoimprovedistanceandspeed/pacemeasurements.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. BringyouriPhoneandAppleWatchtoaflat,open,outdoorareathatoffersgoodGPSreceptionandclearskies.
2. CheckthatLocationServicesisturnedon.OnyouriPhone,tapSettings>Privacy>LocationServices.
3. CheckthatMotionCalibration&Distanceisturnedon.OnyouriPhone,tapSettings>Privacy>LocationServices>SystemServices.
4. HoldyouriPhoneinyourhand,orwearitonanarmband(preferably)orwaistband.
5. OpentheWorkoutapponyourAppleWatch,andchooseOutdoorWalkorOutdoorRun.
6. ChooseyourgoalorselectOpen.TapStart.
7. Walkorrunatyournormalpaceforabout20minutes.
Youcanalsoupdateyourpersonalinformationsincethisgeneralinformationisusedtocalculatesomeoftheworkoutmetrics,burnedcaloriesforexample.

1.7 Debug Logs Ifyouareexperiencingproblemswiththeapp,youmighthavetosendyourdebuglogstooursupportteam.
Todoso,youmustfirstcheckthatyourdebuglogsareenabledinyourphone.Then,youwanttotrytoreproducetheproblemwhilethedebuglogsareon.Onceyouhavecapturedtheissue,sendthedebuglogstoyourphonebytappingon“SENDTOIPHONE”.
LogswillthenbesenttoMotiFITonyouriPhonewhereyouwillthenbeabletosendthemtosupportviathe“MORE”tabunder“SENDDEBUGLOGS”.

SECTION 2: WORKOUT TRACKING
2.1 Starting your workout Thefirstthingyoushoulddoistomakesurethatyourheartrateappearsatthetopofthescreen.Ifthereisn’taheartratereading,givethesensorsafewsecondstodotheirreadingsbeforegettingstarted.Onceyouseeyourheartrate,youcanproceedandchooseaworkouttype.
2.2 During your workout Whenyouareinyourworkout,therearefourscreensthatyoucannavigatethrough.Simplyswiperightorleftonthefaceofthewatchtochangescreens.Thesensorscansometimesbepronetoinaccuracieswhenyouareinworkoutsinceyourwristisconstantlyinmovement.HereisalistoftipsandtricksonhowtoimprovetheaccuracyoftheheartratereadfromAppleWatch.
1.OPTIMIZESKINCONTACT
Firstandforemost,thesensorsneeddirectskincontact,so,makesureyouwearitunderyourshirtwiththewatchontopofyourarm.Therecommendedfitissnug,butcomfortable.
2.BLOODFLOWAFFECTSACCURACY.
Itisimportanttonotethatskinperfusionisdifferentfordifferentpeopleandthatthequalityofyourskin’sbloodflowaffectstheaccuracyofthereadingsonAppleWatch.Forsomepeople,thesensorispronetoinaccuracies.
3.AVOIDCOLDTEMPERATURE.
Coldnesswillreduceyourbloodflow,consequentlyreducingtheaccuracyoftheheartratesensor.
4.SHYAWAYFROMIRREGULARMOVEMENTS.
Thelessyourwristmoves,themoreaccuratethereadingswillbe.Ifyouknowyourworkoutinvolvesalotofwristmovement,tightenthestrapaccordingly.

5.SYNCTOANEXTERNALHEARTRATEMONITOR.
Ifyouarenothappywiththeaccuracyofthewatch’sopticalheartratemonitor,youcanalwaysconnectyourwatchtoanexternalBluetoothheartratemonitorformoreprecisereadings.Formoreinformation,pleaserefertoour“IPHONE/IPADAPPUSERGUIDE”
2.2.1 Heart Rate Halo
MotiFITisallaboutvisuallyhelpingyoukeeptrackofyourworkoutmetrics.
OuruniqueheartratehaloshowsyouthreethingsinREAL-TIME.

NOTE:Tappingonyourcurrentheartratewillchangethemetricshowntoheartrateintensity.Tappingagainwillresetittocurrentheartrate.
2.2.2 Heart Rate Pie Chart
Thesecondscreenistheheartratepiechart.Thisscreenallowsyoutoseehowyourworkoutisspreadoutamongstthedifferentheartratezones.Thischartisusefulwhenassessingthedifficultyofaworkoutorwhenyouwanttodoheartratezonespecifictraining(HIIT,circuittraining,etc.).
NOTE:Tappingonyourcurrentheartratewillchangethemetricshowntoheartrateintensity.Tappingagainwillresetittocurrentheartrate.
Asshowninthefigureabove,eachcolourrepresentsonezone.Thepercentageshownineachcolourrepresentsthepercentageofyourworkoutthatwasspentintherespectivezone.Forexample,59%oftheworkoutabovewasspentinthewarmupzoneand12%intheEndurancezone.

TheworkoutinformationscreenhasafewmorefeaturesinMotiFITRunandRidethaninMotiFIT.Atthetopofthescreen,youwillseethecurrentdistancetravelled.Bydefault,youthengetyourcurrentspeedinMotiFITRide.Youcanchangefromcurrentspeedtoaveragepacebytappingonthemetric.ForMotiFITRunontheotherhand,itistheexactopposite.Bydefault,youareshownyouraveragepaceandwhenyoutaponthemetric,itchangestocurrentspeed.
Thenextmetricisyourcurrentheartrate.Youcanswitchbetweencurrentheartrate,averageheartrate,maxheartrateandpercentageofmaxheartratebytapingonthemetric.

2.3 Pausing / Finishing a Workout Thelastscreeniswhereyoucanpauseorfinishyourworkout.NOTES:
