Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ; Happy New Year. I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas. As we enter the New Year the staff along with the Collaborative Parish Council will be rolling out in various segments the Apple Valley Catho-lic Community Mission Pathway. This docu-ment defines our Mission, Vision, Purpose and our Mission Pathway. Over the last six months the staff and Parish Council have been working hard on defining our Mission, Vision and Pur-pose for our Apple Valley Catholic Community. One aspect of our Mission & Vision is to add a community prayer to our weekend Mass experi-ence. Prior to the final blessing at Mass we, as a community of faithful, will pray the prayer to-gether. The prayer can be found in the Breaking Bread on the back page. The staff and the Council are confident that it will add to our Mass experience and to our unity as a faith filled community rooted in Christ, en-gaged in the world, on fire about our Catholic faith and living as intentional missionary disci-ples. The Prayers is as follows:
Heavenly Father, We thank you for hearing our prayers,
feeding us with your presence in Word and Eucharist, and encouraging us with
your loving Spirit.
May we appreciate the unique gifts that each brings forth as we work together
to reflect your presence to all. In the coming week may we be supportive of one another and be welcoming and inviting
to those beyond our doors.
Help us to be patient, merciful, and compassionate as we strive to build your
kingdom as true missionary disciples. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen I am yours in Christ, Fr. Jeff
The newest season of Alpha has started! Please remember to pray for the team and all who will be coming to our collaborative over the coming

Collaborative Altar Server trainings For Current and New Servers
It has been a goal for both St. Elizabeth and St. Isidore altar server ministries to unite and func-tion as one collaborative ministry. We have worked together to refine and unify the proce-dures where possible and to unify the schedul-ing of servers at all four of our weekend Masses. To that end, there will be trainings to review the procedures and bring everyone up to speed. All current servers are being asked to attend. Any-one else who may be interested in serving may also attend. The training dates are:
St. Isidore Training: Please RSVP to Marcia Melone, [email protected]
• Saturday, February 1 at 4:15 p.m. • Sunday, February 2 at 10:00 a.m.
St. Elizabeth Training: Sunday, February 2 at
9:45 a.m. or 4:00 p.m. Please RSVP to Marianne Sullivan, [email protected]
Adults with Special Needs
A small group of parents of adults with disabili-ties are seeking others in our community who are interested in ways to further inclusion of their adults with intellectual disabilities (age 16+) in the Apple Valley Catholic Collaborative. The goal of this survey is to simply assess interest and needs. Results of this survey will be used to in-form the direction of the group going forward. If interested please complete our short survey be-fore February 20:

St. Isidore Grand Annual
Dear St. Isidore Parishioners, As you know we are in the midst of our Grand Annual Collection. If you didn’t receive a mail-ing regarding this collection, copies are at the entryways of the church. We are grateful to everyone who has already given. We want to point out you can donate appreciat-ed stock or mutual fund units as part your contribution to the Grand Annual. Donating some of those securities to St. Isidore’s Grand Annual Collection helps reduce your capital gains tax. As you plan for the upcoming year, you may want to consider donating a portion of your IRA Required Minimum Distributions (RMD) to St. Isidore, and if you are over 70 and 1/2 years old, you can use a tax efficient tool called a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) that counts toward your RMD, but is not considered taxable income. There are three simple steps involved in making a QCD: 1. Contact your IRA Company or Advisor and tell them you’d like to make a Qualified Charita-ble Distribution (QCD) to St. Isidore Parish. 2. Your IRA company will send a check directly to St. Isidore Parish. 3. St. Isidore Parish receives your gift and the amount is excluded from your income. You should consult with a tax or financial advisor regarding your specific situation and other potential tools that are available to you for planned giving. Please let Robin know if you plan on using one of these meth-ods. In closing, we thank you for your past financial support of the parish and we hope you will con-tinue this support during this time. Sincerely, St. Isidore’s Parish Finance Council
Year End Contribution Statements St. Elizabeth
For tax purposes, parishioners often seek to document their contributions to St. Eliza-beth. Your bank statement constitutes ac-ceptable IRS documentation for donations by check or EFT. The parish can also supply a statement, provided they were made by means of donation envelopes, EFT or contributions of $250 or more on a single day. If you would like a statement, please fill out the form below and return it by mail or the collection bas-ket. Thank you, as always, for your support of St. Elizabeth and its mission. You also have the opportunity to download and print your year-end 2019 contribution statement. This is a new process. We hope you find the following links and instructions helpful. Know that this year-end statement is part of the parish and diocesan database called Connect Now Family Suites: My Own Church. You will find instructions on our website: https://22049.sites.ecatholic.com/register
